JoesGE.com is a pretty cool place (depending who you talk to it might be more than pretty cool. But hey, I'm just writing this down so that it says something down here, because that's more professional right?) and if you're still reading along at this point you might as well sit down and grab some popcorn because this is about to trail on about how we are this premiere repair service located in Washington State North of Seattle in basically the "Armpit of the US" near Mt Baker (Mt Baker has the world record for most snowfall at 1,140 inches in a season). Even though it can smell bad around here we love the fresh air and being near the post office and in a quiet sleepy mountain town certainly gives us much closer access to Team Turtle and Team Beaver (Watch our "Who, what, when and where is JoesGE?" video if you don't get the reference).
All this to basically say that we are all addicted to coffee and stay in the warehouse for ridiculously long hours in order to keep up with the demands of the youth for these two-sided head audio devices and speakers that float when you throw them in the ocean or in your bathtub to test if they actually float. On top of that, we do like it when less stuff ends up in landfills so we hoard everything on shelves with wheels so that we pollute less, it just sits in our warehouse losing molecules slowly over time degrading to become smaller and smaller.
If you are still reading at this point you deserve an award, or a high five, or something because you must either be the most patient person on the planet, or you read blogs frequently. And if the latter is the case, then this whole thing must seem pretty short so let's keep going.
We do some really interesting things here at JoesGE which are frequently documented in our sometimes weekly sometimes never vlogs.
Also, if you are wondering how we keep up with the demands of the people so well, its because 90% of the people that work here are all Russian around getting things done most of the time. Yes, that was a pun, you are welcome. We hope you have a pun-filled day, because who couldn't use a few laughs?

Just discovered this while in the process of changing my Galaxy Watch 3's battery. Great solution to fix a sticky dial, and I confirm this works on my watch as well.
As long as you're slow and a bit careful about removing the dial, the balls and springs shouldn't go flying.

Also found out you can do this without taking off the bezel! Mine was completely stuck for at least a year. Just take the cotton swab with rubbing alcohol around the sides and buttons. Not a deep clean, but works just fine!

I didn't manage to get the bezel off as all of my screw drivers seemed too thick. However, just soaking a cotton swab in rubbing alcohol and spinning the bezel made all sorts of goo ooze out. Now it works! Your video helped a lot, thank you!

Thank you so much for this video! Taking off the bezel wasn't the scary part for me, since it just popped right off after using some tweezers (didn't have a flathead screwdriver handy). But keeping track of those beads had me sweating when I thought I had lost them, thankfully I didn't and now my watch bezel works good as new! Also, popping the bezel back in was a little difficult until I read the comments and discovered you need to slide it into the bezel itself with the tabs facing down before you pop it into the watch itself.

I have an older galaxy watch where 50% of the bezel movement doesn't result in screen movement. Cleaning actually seemed to make it worst - like i lost 80% of the bezel movement after doing it. Not sure why. Any ideas? Perhaps the cleaning messes up the detection of bezel movement somehow.

I do not know why no one mentioned it. It's very hard to put the bezel back if you don't know the direction of the gasket.
    Follow the rule,
Put the gasket into the bezel in it's tooth down direction. The gasket has some small but wide tooth. You need to keep the teeth down to the watch. The bezel will snap in like a charm. Thank me later.

Thanks for the comment. The issue you are describing sounds like the seal went out and will cause watch to corrode if exposed to liquids. This is a common issue with the Gear S3 If you would like your device repaired by a professional you can fill out a repair form and follow the steps to send in your item. We offer free shipping and diagnostics. Here is a link to the repair form:

Thank you!! Galaxy watch 46 mm only year old and stuck. About to either attempt this or take to Best Buy for replacement. WD40 worked. Only caveat, is it leaves residue on screen protector.
