The radio on the left of the cab was lit up.cool. Also I could almost smell the interior of the 150 during the walk through the passenger compartment 😀
i have been waiting so long for any of the sprinters or pacers to make it into the game. im so happy we finaly get one. hope we get to see more sprinter/pacer trains/ routs in the future.
Just a few notes, the engine sounds like it’s idling in notch one, the reverser moves anti clockwise- off, reverse neutral and then forward. The staff doors don’t have the close alarm and the AWS sounds a bit off. Other than that it looks absolutely stunning. It seems like it’s going to be really good especially seeing as it’s a work in progress.
I think the reason its sounding like its idling in notch 1 is because its a WIP

Those sounds are not AP's, quote insulting to say that. The idle sounds, sound like notch 1-2 and when the rev up occurs before the video ends, they do not sound right. The problem is, this is what you will get and Rivet won't see this feedback.

@@75jonesy it is ap sounds trust me. The engine sounds different because the compressor speed up is on so all other engine noise is blanked out
@@D._7nf I appreciate your comment but having considered your comment, please have a listen at the end when the throttle is used as I feel that this does not reflect the AP sounds, there is even a link on the AP website which gives a taster of the sounds.

I iwsh this company put as much time into supporting their DLCs after release as they do promoting them beforehand. Been burned too many times by shoddy Rivet DLCs to take this at face value as being in working order. Time will tell.

I was going to say that too. Looks great and really looking forward to this train, but it does need that distinct drive Sprinter growl. Been on quite a few of these, and they’re gloriously loud even inside. It’d also be nice if they smoothed out the door window surrounds a bit.
For someone that's travelled on these plenty of times the sounds are rather poor in game.

Looks amazing - it’s quite loud though, or at least the distance at which the volume falls off is too great. If you reduce that a bit more it’ll also help with the audio-phasing problem you have with both units playing the same sound.

Something doesn't sound right in the idle, it's idling too high, the direction switch rotates backwards, the brake system has too much pressure in it, it only goes to 7 bar MAX, not 9, and full service is step 3 on the gauge, not 4
Don’t forget it’s a work In progess! They’ll most likely fix it before release. I belive it’s idling too high because compressor speed up is on
i wish these days sim companies would focus first and foremost on the sim aspect and only second on looks - however it seems 90% of the customers are too easily impressed by the visual aspects and forget what simming is about.
@@HarryFortyTwo Simming is about feeling like you are there, not that every minutie of detail is accurately represented. Look at some of the awful scenery on TS classic.

disagree. the focus of simulation should be on the minute details of the machine we are driving, not on an illusion i am there. that is the approach of a game - a simulation focuses on the workings and reactions of specific machines. nothing against nice looks, but they are secondary and a simulation can be enjoyed by being informative and teaching with bad graphics just as well.
Good effort. I work these trains everyday. A couple of things. Gsmr is on the left hand side of the driver controls. . The pa / cab to cab phone is done left hand side of driver seat. So you have them in wrong place. Also be better to open the guard door with the butterfly valve
Oh and the engine sounds are completely wrong. A 150 sound more like a desiel truck when it starts moving
Looking good. Just a few points - it might be nice if the low level Door Open control rotated (but a question of what's required versus how often would it actually be used?) and why in the interior poster is there a GREEN 150/2?
Looks good except the gap between the two vehicles is a bit on the large side.
I agree. Does look a little ‘gappy’ in between vehicles.
The engines are simultaneously idling and at notch 1 of power.

There is one easy answer to how Rivet Games got the sound correct for Class 150 DMU. It has to do with these Class 150 DMU operating local services around Stirling railway station Scotrail.
Scotrail don't operate Class 150s

Sounded good until power was applied. This is a hydraulic gearbox - the revs go to max before the train takes traction and begins to move. In the video, they applied power and the train just started moving, with minimal revs. This is extremely unrealistic and needs to be addressed before launch, or just like IoW and Arosa, they'll get crucified by the community for poor attention to detail in key areas.
You might need your ears testing if that's the case. There is no way that an idling class 150 sounds like that.
Looks pretty decent. Hopefully it has decent physics unlike the Arosa loco...

Looks great, I have tsw2. Do Rivet create add ons for Dovetail and if so do anyone else do add ons please? I have a few routes, mostly UK. Are there any particular better companies at doing these things? Thanks (Ill be buying this one for sure)

Those physics seem a bit whacky
The map on the wall says st earth 2 times 1 time at st earth and the second at st ives
As usual - Rivet models look stellar and sound good. But we've seen what happens around that. Will give these a pass until the previous content works correctly.
Totally understand you feeling disappointed. We are working to fix some issues on previous content, no excuses.
I'd love this route! But... based on previous purchases of Rivet Games products I'm not convinced by the quality or accuracy to spend any more money.
That's ok, we understand when there's disappointment. We can only hope when you see the positive comments and satisfied customers, you too might give it a go.

i think rivet is very good at making routes and trains for tsw2 just imagine if they made all the routes we wouldn't have so many issues

The cab looks like it has have been lifted from TS1 with no additional work done, the in train artwork looks like it was designed by a child, the sea looks like a sim from 1995-2000 at the latest. All in all a major disappointment.

Rivet never seems to impress me in the slightest with their releases, seems like they do bugger all when it comes to research...

I can say they need thorough improvement and to be programmed correctly prior to release, otherwise this will end up being a patch that takes over 6 months. Please ensure you let us continue to provide feedback now prior to release.
