Honestly like this more. Fits crota and his "guardian murderer" vibe and honesty more epic. And this is the best thing they've done wuth crota too. But its now a little too hard
Crota's been back three times and none of those got his original music. I can only assume the composers just didn't really like that one in retrospect, which is fair - it's a pretty weird track, and very repetitive. I can imagine it getting kinda grating on day 1. Definitely much prefer the new one.
@@Axyroa it’s the same thing but the percussion is giving way to to the strings more. It’s musically more sound and doesn’t sound like a highschool band did it.
@@eyreow387 I feel that leaning a bit towards the percussion in that part is a good thing cause it made u feel like ur clashing with crota and the tempo being a bit slower helped u stay in that moment longer now u don’t really get that same vibe it’s more of a sense of urgency, like now’s ur opportunity kill him Quickly type a thing.
I really like hearing raid bosses' themes as they are in game, although not every single time, for example album Oneirophobia is way better than ingame Oneirophobia. Never the less, I want to see more versions like this!
it really sucks that the in game version of oneirophobia is just so weird, i dont really know what happened of it was rushed or what but all the transitions are just so abrupt and it plays the ending of the song twice for some reason?? so confusing
@@tapisbadatgames Don't even get me started on the last stand. At first I thought we just killed Nezarec super fast so it didn't even play well, but like, it doesn't even start playing properly at all? Which sucks because Oneirophobia's last stand is easily the best one out of any boss track
@@spacecowboy3569 the last stand part is also just way too long for how little health he has and how short that last stand is in general i mean you would literally in zero scenarios hear the track in full during the fight
You clearly didnt hear the DPS part of oneirophibia which is actually THE BEST PPART OF THE FUCKING TRACK, ITS NOT EVEN IN THE ALBUM. Your opinion is wrong.
It's not a Skolas motif. This track was written before Queen's Ransom was, so if anything you have that backwards. It's also not really a "motif." Mike Salvatori has progressions he likes to use, and some of his "motifs" (progressions) in Destiny can be heard in games such as Hail to the Chimp and Guilty Party, and in some cases even all the way back in Myth: The Fallen Lords in 1997.
only way this raid would have been perfect is if they didnt use his crappy dares of eternity model and if they used the original theme. its so much better
Isn’t this model just more fleshed out (literally)? The D1 model was a skeleton with an ethereal frame around it to give him the same structure as a Hive Knight.

They came for their revenge after their first raid got memed on
but that was Vault of Glass
@@DanYami my bad
After spending 5 hours on this I most definitely feel like this is my favorite crota theme.
10:40 I really like tension parts like this one
Stay tuned for my 8 bit rendition of this 😁
Excited to hear it!
It slapped
It’s on my channel for anyone reading this, enjoy 🫶💪
I ABSOLUTELY LOVE this format for the raid music! I'd love to hear other raid "arrangements" in the future!
Honestly miles better than the D1 version in terms of both the gameplay and soundtrack. W changes.

Like this new format
The dps phase part is so much faster
The melody is the same speed. The orchestra in the background makes it sound much faster than it is compared to the old one.

Eh I still prefer the original track imo, it gave off this ominous and mysterious feeling for the fight.
To me the dps phase motif didn’t feel as epic as it did in the d1 track it was more of a downgrade tbh
I don’t blame them either; I think it’s ass.

@@AtlyxMusic Thanks for the info. I never knew that was why.
Not as good as the drums and horns in the OG. Not even close, but few remember it.
tons of people remember it wdym

@@kasm7870 Yes, but its cooler. Also the old model was taller
Honestly I’m not a fan of it. It sounds more modern and cleaner but I’m sorry but I can’t get the old one out it just isn’t doing it.
