THI is allowing comments now? Sweet! I see this recruiting class as a volume search for hidden gems. Some will hit the transfer portal but if they get 3-4 hidden gems thay are above average players it is totally worth it. Honestly in the short time frame I'm amazed at what Bill has done. Like you said he is building a culture. IMO Year 2 will be the step forward and year 3 we will be competing for ACC and playoffs.

Probably because I was the only one leaving comments on here years ago. They turned the comments off haha. Good to see others are commenting.

I’m kind of glad to see Bilicheck still being Bilichick, I used to think his press conferences at New England were hilarious, he wouldn’t give up anything, just mumble through them on his way to another championship 😂

Tom Brady once said about Bill Belichick he only does what he’s hired to do. He needed to get into the transfer portal and recruiting ASAP. That’s why there’s no real talking to the media other than Pat Mcafee. Y’all do a great job at THI but THI is not national. so any media attention for the university is going to go through avenues like ESPN in the early stages

We got 7 4-star players if you include the transfer portal on 247.

I’m with you, and hopefully that’ll start happening next year with more time to put it together. But with the short time he had to work with hopefully he snagged enough to get 8 wins and keep momentum going.

54 minutes of bitching, somebody needs a hug, and if you need some info, just watch the Pat McAfee show, they are on there quite a bit. I am done with coach speak, put a product on the field, and be competitive, fight, and beat NC Stank ever yr

McAfee isn't going to ask the questions we will. And you obviously didn't get the joking nature of the "bitching." But thanks for chiming in.

@@TarHeelIllustrated no I didn’t get the joking nature, and after 10 minutes it was giving me a headache and the McAfee reference was a joke, even though Lombardi did throw out some meaningful information. Belichick is a different animal and not your typical college coach, and eventually he will adjust. I know it’s your job to gather intel for the fans and I have been following your website for years, so no disrespect intended, but I just didn’t like the vibe of the show. I listened to inside Carolina and they were talking about more about the players and less about how no one was returning calls. I am an operations manager and some times you have to pivot and go in a different direction to get the information results you need and if Belichick and Lombardi want to keep it close to the vest at this that is their prerogative, and in the meantime do some player insights with your college recruiting analyst, until they open up and start giving interviews. In the last couple of days Belichick has visited the #1 RB and QB, I’d rather he be doing that than giving interviews. At this point we are looking for results on the field and with the current state of UNC football and basketball, less “blowing smoke” coach speak and more action to put a product on the field that we can be proud of is more important to me as a loyal Tar Heel fan and supporter….
You guys do a great job and hopefully you get the access and intel you need to pass on to the fans…

@@TarHeelIllustrated This is purely a man on the street take, but I think it's less frustrating for fans than it is for you guys, whose job is to cover the program. I'm triangle native and '08 grad, and in my lifetime (and I'm pushing 40), we've never even won the ACC. I am hungry for consistent relevance, and if this is the way that Belichick is going to operate the program, well, I'd rather know less and win more.
That being said, you guys raised a point that I've been wondering about - donations. I'm sure mega donors who give enough to have access will be just fine, but small dollar guys need to feel connection to the program, and this silence could eventually hurt us, especially if he doesn't take Carolina to the Super Bowl, er, CFP by year 2 or 3.
A critical difference between pro and college is that when there is regime change, like with the Commanders (I'm a DC guy), Josh Harris just asks us to buy tickets and merch, but he's not asking for donations. College is really different in that respect, and in order to entice people to donate, they need to feel ownership of the program, and you don't feel like an "owner" when your media guys are frozen out- you feel like a spectator, and for folks who want to feel connection with the team (particularly all those Heels who may not have graduated from Carolina like I did), you better be throwing them some bones once in a while.
Just my .02. Keep it up THI guys!

@@yonneramseur3525 And we have attained a lot of information even with the current situation. Pivoting in that respect isn't an issue. We didn't dive too deep into the players that signed because it wasn't a signing day show, it was more general than that. Appreciate the feedback. That's one of the reasons we opened comments.
