Picking Alone from @thebandheart (Heart) as my second cover on UA-cam felt like the right decision. I have performed this song with Nightwish, After Forever and even at the Christmas Metal Symphony! So when I saw many of you requesting this song, I got to work! Hope you enjoy it!

Floor is amazing. One of the purest voices I’ve ever heard. Thank you Nightwish army for turning me onto her. Her emotion, phrasing, hitting the high notes. Floor has it all. And this is from someone who regards Ann Wilson as one of the greats of rock and roll.

I just bought some new music, waiting for my Revamp album to arrive! Floor has introduced me to more than Nightwish (my favorite band still) and I am eternally grateful. Her husband has made my 15 yr old son a metal fan and his favorite band is Sabaton. This music kept the peace in a small home with 4 kids during Covid.

I have been dating my current partner for almost half a year now. I am extremely grateful for him introducing me to Nightwish, and of course, your solo work. It’s amazing what you can learn from someone in such a short amount of time. I never knew anything about symphonic metal, or metal really, for that metal. I always stayed focused on indie, alt rock, pop, Harry Styles, Taylor Swift, Twenty One Pilots, and I still love those musicians but I have to say your voice - and Nightwish in its current form - are truly mesmerizing and I think I say it in agreement and as the voice for many people who may never have the opportunity to write a message like this - but you are absolutely the definition of pure joy, bliss, passion, and effort in a singer / creator. I have seen you in " best singers of the Netherlands. I had never heard from you before. The first note you sang I was hooked on. You have the most beautiful powerful voice wich you can change in a split second in a gentle breeze that eases my mind. Floor, you have a fan for life.

I used this song to introduce my dad to Floor. He loves Heart and has always said it's so hard for people to sing their songs because of how good Ann Wilson can sing lol. I said "yeah, but listen to this!" He was, well, FLOORED by how good this is. I told him Floor can sing anything she freaking wants to and he immediately agreed haha. He's now on the Nightwish path. Finally haha.
Ann is a tough one to cover.
This shows just how good Ann was. Floor is an amazing singer (probably my favourite) but Ann made this sound so easy.

OMG! I’ve heard this covered by some great singers BUT never as good as this, as good as our Viking Goddess of the Netherlands! Her voice gives me tears of appreciation for her unbridled and unmatched talent
Absolutely amazing. The vocal range on this woman is mind blowing, and this is certainly one of THE best vocal covers I've heard. Period. I'd heard an earlier version of her singing this, found it here on UA-cam in fact, and I recall showing it to one of my lady friends who at the time listened mostly to pop, R&B and some hip hop. Halfway through the song, she was speechless, and by its conclusion, her eyes were welled up (so were mine). Trust me, she was a fan after that.

A lot of times when you are listening to a song, you are actually not really listening. When Floor is singing it is like the world stops. Every other sound disappears to the background, I only hear that beautiful voice. That is a gift. So proud to be Dutch! ❤️🇳🇱

Floor is concurring the world right now, and her reach will go far beyond the Nightwish army. She will keep doing covers, as long as the corona crazyness will go on. Her initiative to start a cover series on her own UA-cam channel will make her truly world famous. All the voice coach reactions on YT will help push her forward at rocket speed. And she deserves it So much. Her last cover went over a million views in less than two weeks, and this one will do the same. Millions and millions of new people will learn to know Floor, and how good she is. I am so happy for her, finally getting the worldwide recognition she deserves. As an artist, as a magnificent vocalist, and as a wonderful person.
she has a big following but being with Nightwish got everyone going..."Tarja is better" and i, honestly prefer Floor than the other 2 singers they had. To me its not that she is better or not but rather, her voice register is like throwing a warm soft blanket over me while i am sleeping. She has a register that i love to hear from a female vocalist when everyone else wants to praise women who hits super high notes.

Hello everyone, the Dutch fans of Nightwish are trying to vote some Nightwish songs into the NPO Top 2000. This is an annual hit list at the end of the year by the Dutch radio station Radio2 with the 2000 most appreciated songs. Every year you can vote for your favorite songs, and people living in other countries than The Netherlands can also vote. I will vote again this year because I think that Floor deserves more recognition in her own country, where most radio stations almost never play Nightwish. The name of the fanmade Facebook Group is "Nightwishindetop2000". I'm almost sure that this year we will vote for these 5 songs:
*Ghost Love Score (live) - this is the Wacken 2013 version which made it into the Top 2000 edition 2019
*Elan
*Phantom of the Opera with Henk Poort
*Shoemaker
*How's The Heart
Voting starts on 1 December and the deadline is 6 or 7 December.

Well, I voted for 35 songs, when only GLS, Elan and Phantom of the Opera were available , IOW, added 32 songs , including Floor's solo covers, a few Beste Zangers songs, and about 30 NW songs :). Was a bit of work, with all the justifications, but worth it IMO :).
BTW, anybody can vote for these, apparently - you don't have to be a Dutch fan .... And the more votes, the better :).

Its not a Heart song as their version was a cover as well. It was written and released by a band called I-Ten a few years before Heart covered it and the lead singer was a guy. Heart made it famous but it's not their song. It easily findable on youtube, I'd link it but I'm on mobile.
I normally hate it when people try to cover Heart. It always falls short of the unrivaled bad-assery of Ann Wilson's voice. This is vocally the best cover of this song I've ever heard.

Total Eclipse of the heart is from Rick Steinman who wrote all of Meatloaf's classic songs. He writes very rock infused theatrical music requiring a powerful vocalist so it would be a good fit for floors voice.

I am really late to the party - haven't been listening to Nightwish for about 10 years (was a great fan of Tarja's voice, but not so Anette's, although she did a great job!), totally missing that Anette is gone and you are their "new" singer (I know, late to the party)... and what a blast was that? Totally amazed by your voice I started to listen to your former bands, came across "Beste Zangers" (wow!) and finally your channel. Just wanted to tell you how absolutely stunned I am by your voice, even songs I do not really like shine bright when you sing them.

Heart was one of my favorite bands growing up. Even my Dad loved them. I took him to see them live and Alone was his favorite. I will never forget how happy he was when she nailed that note live! He has passed so this song means a lot to me. I know he would absolutely love your voice and I wish so much I could play this for him. I assume she was standing when she recorded the vocals. I figure the piano and the vocals had to be recorded separately since they are in different countries,
The only thing missing in the video is an ottoman.......because she couldn't look anymore relaxed while she was doing this so she might as well put her feet up at the same time lol
