HOTD is strong female characters done correctly. Disney needs to take some notes.

Season 3 was already a given, This is just the official announcement which of course is exciting. They cut the episode count of season 2 from 10 to 8 episodes BECAUSE the idea was to stretch the story out a bit more once the team knew they were getting a 3rd season
Great get to wait 3 years for the next season unbelievable. Whatever happened to a season every year especially only 8 episodes..
One of the ironies of GOT’s is that if it hadn’t of started in 2011, George might have finished TWOW sooner. But then we would have never have got what we had potentially!
Don't be surprised If season 3 has the same eight episode count as season 2. If you believe the rumour surrounding season 2, (that it was initially supposed to be 10 episodes long, later expanded to 16 eps in length, then in actual fact, ". . . for story reasons. . ." cut back to 8), completely makes sense of why the renewal announcement is in advance of season 2's premiere... Those story reasons as book readers will tell you, will become apparent once this season concludes.
yeah, they’re gonna start filming. I think by Nov-ish. They’ve been doing pre-production on season three for a while.
I saw the first episode of season 2 on Wednesday and it was so good can’t wait for the rest of the season

I’ll admit it, I was one of the people who didn’t want to give HotD a shot after the ending of game of thrones lol
I didn't even see season 1 so far 😅 I may watch it in some future (when it has 2 seasons completed or even when they are closer to release season 3 too) but I also stayed away from it because I rarely like PREQUELS. If they are to be made I prefer having them FIRST (for this one I would have loved to watch it rather like this: 1. House of the Dragon 2. Game of Thrones ..but since GoT was first RELEASED I already saw that as first) 😅
These fckin prequels often come because the first thing that they released about a specific world had succes / was popular and they want to milk it further (somehow) by doing some prequel type of stuff. It happened with LOTR followed by Hobbit and now same for Game of Thrones. 🙄 BUT at least this House of the Dragon show gets better reviews than those Hobbit movies 😁

Yea I don’t know why they even call them seasons anymore ! As they don’t even start working on the next season till after they review all their numbers now ! You think they would stay working on it ! Because it’s obviously gonna be successful , but to them it’s about the money of course ! So they wanna wait to see the success before they greelight another season ! It’s bad for us that we have to wait 2 to 3 years for another season ! Back in the old days ! It use to be a season was every year ! They should just call it parts !

It's kinda funny how there are still crybabies who keep thinking the last two (or 3 or 4) seasons never worked at all and assume lots of people don't like em. You should realize they were huge successes (literally broke viewership records!) and was nominated/ won key awards including best series & best writing. On top of all that the series was never the type meant to please everyone. Expecting it to be like Harry Potter, LotR, MCU, Star Wars, twilight, etc is the worst mistake u can make!
No one can deny that the last 2 seasons of game of thrones were a significant dip in quality, especially the final season. They set the bar high for themselves and monumentally fell short of it in the final season.

Last 2 seasons of GOT were fine except for the last 20 MIN of the LAST episode. John being banned and Bran being named King just didn't seem right to me. I absolutely hated the last 20 min of the ENTIRE SHOW. "BREAKING BAD" is still the GOAT.
