Making Predator Machete Part 1

- This machete brings back memories to my childhood, at the time I'm watching the Predator movie for first time on TV, there is a scene that I remember in the film when a soldier named Billy with his machete tried to buy time so that Mayor Alan "Dutch" Schaefer (Arnold Schwarzenegger) the team leader can run away from the chase of Predator.
Billy's cool machete shape made me want to make it and i'm sure it feel will be great when holding that thing who I saw on TV decades ago, this will be a fun project
Thanks for watch !

I am sure you are happy to have that knife !
Hey, man. So, I just wanted to share a piece of advice from one knifemaker to another; you should never put a sharp corner into any part of a blade. The reason is that it creates a break point in the blade and when put through heavy use, it usually snaps right there at the 90° cut corner. Now, with something like this, you may not really have that to be concerned with. As it is a heavy duty blade made from heavy duty steel (5160 spring steel, I'm assuming). Just something that you might want to look into to verify for yourself and incorporate into your beautiful work. Great video and awesome machete, my friend. You've got a subscriber out of me
hi there, I'm really apreciate your advice, for you know i'm beginner in knife making and not profesional like other, so maybe there are still many mistakes that i make , back to your useful advice can you pinpoint where is "sharp corner" you told? this machete i'm made from SUP9A steel
i dont mean to be offtopic but does anyone know a tool to log back into an Instagram account..?
I somehow forgot my account password. I appreciate any tricks you can offer me.

Greetings, friend. Can I ask you for a drawing of this knife with dimensions?

Question!! It was a stainless steel or not?
Hi there, i use SUP9 steel, common use for raw material leafspring car
What steel did you use, is that sup9 spring steel?
you right, durable and easy to work steel
That's a really great video but I'd suggest showing less things. Most parts in knife making are very repetitive, showing 10 secondes ou 2 min is the same thing. You can either make several shots with different angle to make it more dynamic, or show a bit less of footage.
When I edit my vids, I like to think that if I can skip through the whole video with 10seconds jumps without having the feeling that I'm missing something, that means the rythm is too slow and thus I'll have a small watch time
Hi Lampro Knives ,thanks for your comment and advice, i realize still have lot of a lot practice to make a better footage with different angle as you said and i'm still have trouble determine which footage to throw away and which one i want to use in video, I hope I can adapt some useful things from your channel to make video in this channel become better and better, Thanks, im really appreciate it !
@@sidejobprojects3858 wow that was a fast response ! Just had time to see the whole serie, that's a really great knife you've done here.
Wait a bit to take inspiration from my vids 😂
The one you can currently see have been edited a few months ago, bad light, bad sound, bad editing... The next ones are gonna be a lot better !
@@lamproknives for me inspiration and learning can come from anywhere, I am completely new in this area and your advice was really useful for a beginner like me 😁
