Do it man. Trust me I did it on myself few days ago and it turned out to be better than how barbers used to fvck me. One last tip: Get the back retouched by your mom
My husband had the same hair dresser his whole life (he is 34) and then he retired this year. After having a couple of bad hair cuts from someone new, my husband insisted that I learn how to cut his hair. I was so worried and nervous but he found this video for me and said its the same way his guy had been cutting his hair for years. I watched your video a few times and gave my husband a hair cut today. Its the first time I've ever put scissors to hair and it turned out great! I will be cutting his hair from now on... thank you!!
Greetings form Serbia! I’m mum of 7 year old boy and I’m using your tutorials to learn how to cut my boys hair, this hairstyle, and previous video of recreating 80s haircut. You are great teacher! Thank you very much for sharing all this
@@downunderdog well the messy part was in style during my junior high - high school years (2005-2011 ish), nothing new about that lol, there are just so many things you can do with hair
This reminds me of my high school and college days back in the 70s. I cut this hairstyle so many time for guys I knew! I'd cut their hair, they'd buy me an album I wanted. :) I loved this cut, and I'm so happy to see it coming back lately! You did a great job!
My 10yr old boys hair does this naturally everytime it grew out from one of my chop job attempt to give him a cut back to it. Always messing it up, vowing to look finally for a barber. Im going to try this morning. I love your video. You’re a great teacher! Update: I just cut my sons hair and it looks Incredible. This is the exact😮 style I ha e been trying to get, late 70s/early 80s So Cal beach. Thank you!! (I tried to put before and after pics but don’t know how to do that)
Thank you. I'm learning so I can cut my 16 year old son's hair. We've been to a dozen stylists and we can never find someone who can cut his hair right. I used a razor comb last time to "fix parts", but this time I'm doing the whole cut myself.
I just wanted to thank you for all videos that you share, this one included! I cut my family's hair which includes 3 teenage boys and your videos nail exactly what they want and I love your straight forward techniques. Please keep doing what your doing 🤩🤩🤩
@louie9732 if you want details the back is layered and the front is bangs or curtain bangs and the sides are literally straightened and cut with either scissors or trimmer to form a line from the jawline till the cheekbone or wherever you cut your bangs to, mine was tip of nose or slightly under but you can choose yours
For real, just got my long hair completely chopped after agreeing to keep length. I think a lot of barbers/salon people struggle with light cuts because it happens every time I let my hair grow out.
You have made my evening! I have been praying for the "low taper" to fall out of style with the teens (especially since none of them want to use product and they all show the same picture of a 25 year old latino male model with amazing hair....no matter what texture, color or thickness their hair is). Every time a 12 year old with stick straight hair walks in I wanna scream. Super excited for this!
I’ve trimmed my longer hair using your videos because every time I trust a pro they’re super heavy handed and chop it off. It’s happens most times I grow my hair out for months/years. I wanted a haircut similar to this one so I’ll be coming back when my hair grows back!! Thank you
(Slide cutting) If you're intimidated by this, it can be easily done w/ more accuracy using a pair of "thinning" or "texturizing" shears. Mom was a beautician and I was a cosmetologist (Yes, same thing, different eras) those scissors were always around. I used them to give lift to my own super fine, Stick straight hair to give body and to take out bulk on my friends with thick hair.
⭐⭐⭐⭐ I been watching your videos since the pandemic due to that I stopped going to so called professionals, since they chopped my hair long ago. Having said that, I have learned a various of your techniques and now I cut my own hair with surrounding mirrors. Lastly the results have been amazing, plus I get lots of compliments on my hair. I am not a hairdresser but since my son refuses to go to a salon I cut his hair. And honestly, I watch your video and feel confident that, yes, I can do it. And my son is 21 now so you won't get away with a "kid's haircut"! 😆 Today I am going to suggest to him this haircut. Thank you!
super cool hair cut .. I think it is gonna be a hit trend.. Would like to check out your hair products.... Do you have anything amazing for bleached damaged hair..?
I have naturally very straight hair and have recently got this haircut, but it seems it now looks more like a bowl cut. Any ideas on how to make it more voluminous like shown in the video? I’ve tried mousse and blow drying.
So you are young and not hit 40+ , what would you do with your hair system when your side hair grows grey? I have seen 10% grey in dark brown and black systems and sticks out like a sore thumb. What is your suggestion?
Could you do a video on what haircut should i get on the sides of my hair or the corners if i want to grow my hair out? Or should i just not cut the sides and let it grow out. The type of hair i am going for is a long wavy length hairstyle. Thanks!
I’m a girl and this is pretty much my haircut that I do as best I can on myself. It looks amazing on boys. Thanks. What is Tidal Wave exactly? I had this kind of hairstyle 7 months ago. I had a buzz cut and then let it grow for 5 months. I had thick and straight hair like this texture and I loved it and again I am buzzed hoping for same hair.
