In tng Riker always gets super agitated when something might endanger Picard. Not just like "oh this might be risky" but like "no! I will not let anything endanger the captain!" It's always been a professional bromance.
As much as Patrick didnt want a reunion when he signed up for PIC. The best episodes in S1 included Troi and Riker. S2`s direction without them really showed and low and behold S3 was a reunion. S3 is so good i dont know how many times ive rewatched it.
@@shaundis2117 yeah, what made TNG great was its ensemble. Patrick Stewart’s a great actor, don’t get me wrong, but he can’t hold a Star Trek series by himself.
"Picard" made me cry over the whole Q thingy alright. THIS one here however would have had the potential to make me forget all the sins that have been made. Too bad they didn't include this wonderful bit, that conveys decades long friendship in reality and screen-world alike so well. Ahh man. Thanks.
I will share a secret here. The lazy Riker beard still looks dope as shiz. (Frakes is like Paul Rudd) EDIT: It's an old code but it checks. Lazy Riker is my new jam.
I’ve never gone against official canon guidelines before. But screw it, by royal decree (I’m a Brit, we’re allowed to speak on the King’s behalf), I dub this extended scene canonical!
Ryan! Hiya! KURE-əss-ow Is literally listed as part of the definition of "Curacao" and I can't stop laughing. Well, they had to be washed with something OTHER than Am Moan IA. :) Rhode Island had better plug their ears when she goes up. :)
You know, that's a nice little moment that could have stayed in the episode. Shows emotional maturity.
I don't even think this is an outtake - it's too wholesome and RIGHT for these characters. I love it! ❤
That’s why it’s an outtake for this series.
The dialogue works. Pacing just feels rushed.
This doesn't even feel like an intake, it feels like a section of the scene deleted for reasons.
Definitely should have been part of the show.
(It's the lines at the very end. They weren't in the episode.)
I love you Ryan
@@A407RAC I love you too
Well why the heck not
Thanks for the clarification. It was the first one that I couldn't pick out the addition.
In Patrick Stewart's memoir he mentions this moment, I'm so glad you've incorporated it back!
Nice. I got my mom that book for mother's day
Ok, I refuse to believe that Riker and Picard didn't unironically say I love you at some point in the series, they've been bros for far too long.
"I love UA-cam" 😅
While sitting by a stream, he's reminded of his favorite streaming service.
@@kvn8907At least it’s not a torrent.
🤣😂😅
"I love U2."
"Really? What's your favourite song by them?"
@@masere Patrick Stewart didn't know Sting nor The Police; what makes you think he knows U2? xD
D’awww, so sweet! I agree, this should’ve stayed in
OK, guys, cut.
Cut, I said.
CUT!
Oh sod it, just leave them to it.
That makes me wonder... How often people just hang out in set afterwards.

Or "promance".
Best episode (and maybe scene) of season 1 (not that that's a particularly tall order - but this felt really genuine)

Even aside from the reunion elements (although I did love those), this ep is critical to s1 just for being a _rest._ It eases the pacing.

I refuse to accept that's an outtake, because ❤
Awwww that is so sweet! 🥹🥹
I hope his lilies did not get ruined
This was so sweet.
Its good to know that even in the future, UA-cam is still loved by Picard.
The whole thing fit together so well I couldn’t tell where the intake was at first lol

That could have stayed in the episode and it would've fit the moment and their evolution as people perfectly.
Awww. That was nice!
Dusty in here.
Patrick really missed a trick here... he should have replied "I know". XD
...and then Picard gets frozen in Carbonite!
“You had me at ‘Engage!’”
This should have been in the episode.
You cut it off just before Riker asks if Picard wants to make out.
Man I love those guys.
Q: "Now kith"
ok but this is cute
Seems to be a trend of things being cut as "deleted scenes" that could have been in shows/movies and made them better for it.
"I love you"
"Make it so"

Yeah, this needs to be canon.
The background cuts away to a green screen. Then the horizon, then the gazebo, then Riker and Picard.
Guys, Idk where the in-take is :')
Blooper... no, it's a deleted scene.
Ian McKellen has left the chat.
What is the source for Picard intakes? Bluray i assume thanks
i couldnt even spot it! ^.^
;. o
And then Riker's clothes fall off.
Screw it, that's canon; shoulda been left in.
