I ordered several usb water pumps the other day. I put one underneath an upside-down terracotta pot and ran a straw up through the drainage hole and put it in the middle of my birdbath. I do have one of those battery packs, but I decided to run an extension cord under the birdbath table and the plug stays under a bucket to keep dry. I may have to set one up higher for the hummer, though.
I have a little hummingbird here in Wichita Kansas!

I have over 6 hummers here in Unionville Missouri the feeder hang on a arber and the sit on it and chase each other lol i took some pictures of them

Ever thought of using small hula hoops to make round perches by the fountains? I think there are some that are 24" that could be adapted to provide an arch type of perch on or near fountains or food supply containers. Something to consider....would be fun to see how they might work.

I need to try this! I got this fountain but haven't made any changes to it yet. I finally saw a little sparrow using it this morning. I have several species of birds used to my feeders now I'm trying to get them to use fountains. I'm curious if the cage feeders you make would keep grackles out. I have a grackle problem. They come in droves and devour everything.

I was super excited to do this as I have a male hummingbird who frequents my feeder. Sadly, after a month of constant being plugged in, he has no interest in it. Some other hummingbirds flying through also aren't interested. I've actually only seen one non-hummingbird take a drink. I was so disappointed! Anyways, just wanted to post in case someone else really gets high hopes because your set up very likely won't get the attention like this one does. I'd say that Robbie's hummingbirds probably have a different mentality than all the others! Thank you though for the entertaining video!

Hi everyone! I put this fountain out with the terracotta pot. I’ve moved it around from sun to shade, near plants and away from plants. I haven’t had a single bird on it since I put it out. I have two hummingbirds so far (Northeast Texas). They are going crazy on the salvia and the feeders but won’t touch the fountain. Any suggestions? Thanks!

Set up a fountain with the usb pump. Bought a power pack from Walmart for $5.88. Obviously this was different than one you used. It barely lasted for 1 full day. What are specs on power pack you buy? Thank you!

Yes . The pump runs off 5 volt But they come with solar charger ones too . She says put thee solar panel in a ziplock with the zip seal down .

Same here. I have a resident male hummingbird at my feeder and he wants nothing to do with it. I have a few others in the area and same thing. None go in it. In fact, no birds seem to like it. I've had it for nearly a month now and I think I saw maybe one bird take a drink. I'm in Southern California.
