The thing that I hate the most is when people like I can save you I can save you, sweetheart. No you can’t the only person who can save them. Is them themselves. Because the only person who can change them is themselves now I’m not saying no one can help them on their journey, but it is still there fight to change.
It's very true that the only person any of us can change is ourselves. I don't honestly think this character is going to stop being a villain, but she's honest about that from the start, so it's not really, in my eyes, that kind of a story. It's more about whether the hero is willing to accept what she's offering. Typically, in this club, the heroes would be dealing with people who have already themselves taken the first step towards change by choosing to use their service. So that would fall into the category of what you describe, helping them along the way. The positive side of knowing that you can only change yourself is 1) well, knowing that you *can* change yourself. It's not easy, but you do have control over your actions, and you can make positive changes in your own life. And 2) being able to let go of any guilt or responsibility you might be feeling over what other people did or do. If their actions are out of your control, then their actions, and the results of them, are not your fault. Heh, sorry, your words resonated with me and got me rambling. Normally I believe that no one is beyond redemption. But this one really tests that belief. Needless to say, the listener has his hands full with her (sounds like fun actually😆). Cool audio My Queen! LOVED IT!!!😊💚👍
Hehe yeah. I do also believe that there is no one beyond redemption -- IF they want it. That's the sticking point. You cannot change someone who doesn't want to change. You can change yourself, and you can support people who do want to change and help make the journey easier for them. This villain? Yeah, I don't know. Something big would have to change. As a bi/pan woman, I get frustrated at how many audios are made 4M when it's exactly the kind of thing I would like and there's no real reason why only a man could be in the listener's position! It's important to me to be as inclusive as possible! And I've gotten very good at finding ways to avoid pronouns besides "you" in a way that the audience doesn't even seem to notice!

Well, she did pay... what are you immediately kicking her out for? I bet plenty of villains, even the ones that *are* considering a change (which I imagine is most of them), wouldn't want to admit their motivations right off the bat. If they all came in saying they want to give up villainy, then you don't even need a club, the villains would just be turning on their own. But that's not the case. You have to make a safe place where you can show them that it really can be done, offer them guidance, things like that before they open up, right? Now, when she starts insisting on a kiss, *that* I might kick her out for. That, to me, is definite grounds for being shown the door. But this is a willing listener script, they're into it, so they don't. (......If it's not your thing, it's perfectly all right to click off, ya know? I do know that not everything will be to every listener's tastes. 🩷)

And you're probably right that it takes a little patience, it just rubs me the wrong way when someone comes in and specifically says "I don't want this to work, and will actively try to make it go poorly, but you still have to spend your time and energy on it." (And I'll do that sometimes, but mostly I'm interested in the stories and the channel that shares them. I just don't always agree with all of the Listener's choices.)
Yeah yeah, makes sense. I get situations like that at my job sometimes, but, you know. I try to remember that I don't know everything that's going on with them and just do what I'm there for.
