Question for anyone: What’s the sturdiest tripod in the smallest form factor? What if you’re trying to get a slider in a tight space? My problem is that I don’t have room for the tripod needed to create a stable enough base for something that slides this far out from the tripod head. I’m shooting drum videos trying to tuck a slider in behind a live concert setting. Currently I use the small Edlekrone slider which is great, but it’s almost not enough movement. When I use a larger slider currently I either have to use two cheap tripods on either side of the slider or use a massive tripod, which creates too big of a footprint overall.
I own almost everything that Edelkrone makes, including their SliderONE and SliderPLUS models. I just broke down and purchased the Benro Hi Hat tripod from them, which is a shorty version of the full size Benro A373 Aluminum tripod. This thing is a BEAST. It's tiny, with a 75mm half-ball adaptor, and it can easily support the sliders. Without extending the legs it makes a triangle that's 9 inches on a side, and the top is only 8 inches high. But it's SOLID. It feels like it could do double duty as a car jack. Edelkrone is running their "30% off store wide" sale right now, which does NOT include tripods. For that reason, if you look today, the entire tripods section is not visible in the products dropdown. You can get to this tripod directly from this link: edelkrone.com/products/benro-75mm-hi-hat. I held out for years, screaming that I would never pay $260 for an 8-inch tripod, but OMG it's so worth it. It's now my my favorite tripod for low-profile shots.
I've been an Edelkrone fan for a while and have quite a few of their products. Only issue I've ever had was some jittery sliding but support was great to show me how to fine tune it.
@@user-nu8bf3bf9m definitely rhino, if your looking at expanding with the heads and everything I find the rhino way more intuitive. The edelkrone app always crashed and wouldn’t connect, you can do everything off the remote instead of having to use the remote like eldekrone, it’s a bigger form factor but I also like being able to stabilise it with a tripod on each end for running my heavier cameras
I enjoyed your video and am always looking to see what others do for auto-beauty shots as I use the edelkrone stuff too. What I would like to know more about are the streaking overhead lights you have since they play well off the curves of the car and add a lot of depth. So I wanted to know more but you do not explain what they are or how they are programmed and wired. Can you explain? Thanks...
I want all the set up and the car as well.. if I'll buy a sports car one day i'll choose GTR even though I worked at Porsche. There is so much to choose but GTR is my final option.
I have all these Edelkrone products and they're just ok... (not sponsored😂) They are expensive, heavy, and cumbersome and I always end up just using a gimbal which is WAY more efficient for me on shoots.
Yeah I have some of this stuff too, and think it’s mostly junk. They’re okay if you have a really light camera package, but beyond sliding a few pounds it won’t work.
Has this team given any thoughts to a channel name change now that it has grown into a few additional talented film makers? Maybe Fulltime Filmmaker? Just throwing that out there. Love the content. Keep up the good work! 🙌
@@Gonzalez13818 - Thanks for responding Adrian. That does sounds vaguely familiar. My opinion is that this channel is very different than Peter's. I can't think of a video on his channel that doesn't have him in it. This channel seems to be evolving into something different with this team of videographers.
@Parker Walbeck - Sounds awesome Parker. Please don't read into this as some comment telling you how to run your channel. I don't think you need my help on that (😂) We'll support the channel no mater what it's called. Glad you're putting a team in place and that you're producing more and more content for us to enjoy!
Hi Parker, Landon, Cool to you and your team grow! I’ve been using Edelkrone for a couple years. Love their products but not their service. Bought the previous version just before these new versions came out and was pissed they didn’t inform me that a new version will be coming out so you might want to hold off. Pricing were basically the same so put more salt to the wound. Anyhow, Zeapon is an up and coming brand and I am impressed with their payload and quality. If they improve their app and add some accessories line the Head Plus and other similar products as Edelkrone, then you’ll see more competition. That means better competitive pricing, more innovation, and better after sale service. Keep up the good contents!
Great video, but the value of edelkrone is about automation and repeat or for stop motion animation. Most of your use will be possible with a Gimbal... Again fan of your work and edelkrone... but in this case only one seen needed the edelkrone ;-) but good to see that they are spending their marketing budget on you
Shutter Angle at 180degree, mostly use Red camera thats why the asset was written with a global shutter info but that C70 its a Rolling Shutter and yes its equivalent of a speed of 1/120shutter speed
@ 0:35 the only reason not to believe is that Edelkrone is fiddly and unreliable so it's easier to film most of those particular shots with a gimbal, potentially in slow-mo. More control, faster pacing, reliable result. I see there are some other comments from people who also owned Edelkrone gear and had the same experience.

I hate to pour sour milk in the coffee but while edelkrone has amazing slider products, in the time it takes to conceive, setup , and execute one of those slider shots, I could have done 20x as many variety of shots on a gimbal, smooth as butter. IMO these are a massive waste of time, bulky, complicated, and too rigid. There are very few instances where a slider can help achieve what a gimbal cannot.
I have used the Edelkrone Plus for several years now, and I cannot recommend this flimsy overpriced crap. It disconnects all the time (you have to calibrate it again each time), it jitters, it loses its target, the screws loosen up and you have to tighten them every fkin day, it sometimes says batteries are empty when they are almost full, some features don’t work at all (like, you’re supposed to be able to move it by hand, but then it’s too loose for motorized mode, when you tighten the wheel up, it becomes impossible to move it by hand). Save your money!
You guys honestly think that video is so great ? Hmmm... I love this channel, the quality is usually superb, but this particular video is very mediocre.
1. The world needs more and more Landon BTW videos.
2. Landon trying to make his own C70 Wrap'd skin called Salt Flats.
Definitely one of the greatest intros ever!!!
This video gives me goosebumps of how good it is
These guys are in next level seriously. Parker has some great boys with him.
I have the same system as well as the jib, really happy with it
That car commercial was amazing the build up to the drop was perfectly timed! that sent me A1 job guys
Man perfect timing as I was looking for slider
It's amazing color grading
That massive diffusion ❤️🔥
Thank You for this video. It really helped me.

Can you provide us footages for practice plz.
Hello Parker- india
Give the editor a raise from the music vibes alone!!!! I’m gonna keep praising Soundstripe until y’all mention it again 😂
Very nice 👌 👍 👏
I used the same intro music in one of my videos. It sounded weird to hear it in a different video. :)

What kind of overhead light tubes are you using?
Sooo epic intro😍

What’s best short motorized slider for canon c70 on 100mm tripod stand ?
Which tripod u using with sliderplus
Do you think the 40cm shorter version would still get the job done ?
Cool stuff
Do I get a prize for being the first Commenter? Just kidding!
No🥲
Love it ♥️
Wish i have a slider. I just rely on my gimbal but I know slider is better. Thanks for sharing. Can you share me a slider? 🙏🥂❤️
Great
We’re can I get the tube light didn’t see the link

Ay now I gotta film my GTR like that 😂
That poor c70 looks like it's been through some rough times 😂

what is the running led light brand?
Waw super super waw‼️❗‼️
What log profile do you use?
I love the glitch effect in general. But it didn’t look in place in this cut to me.
Hey how did you get flames out of the exhaust?
Does anyone know if this could be used vertically? Like if I stood it up perfectly vertical, rostrum camera style

It was called Fulltimefilmmaker but Parker changed to his name because for name branding. Just like Peter McKinnon and other UA-cam channels as well.

Had an edelkrome there hugely OVERPRICED wasn't happy with the APP traded from a iFootage slider much better!
I traded it for the emotimo setup. much happier.
I kind of got put off Edelkrone because of a series of reviews and comparisons where they didnt come off to good.
Rhino Arc is better from all I've seen. Less set up, less batteries, less extra modules to purchase.

Edelkrone is great except their products are crazy expensive. You can always achieve the same results with other brands at a fraction of the cost.
