I love it. I wonder if the Rambler could promote OpenStreetMap in the same way. It would ace to have get all the Ramblers adding every footpath onto OpenStreetMap. There are so many missing.
Where can I submit a path in the lake district that I used to walk down a few years back that has since been strategically blocked off with a gate by someone probably hoping that people will forget about it so that they can keep it for themselves.
@@James-un8mm find your local branch of the Ramblers - www.ramblers.org.uk/go-walking/group-finder.aspx - and email them. Ask if tgooglehey need any help on 'don't lose your way'. They will be engaging with the local archives, reviewing old maps, and going out into the field to photograph path routes for the application forms. The Ramblers release their list of paths to register in the net few weeks. there are so many. good luck!
All those videos of Alastair Humphreys "getting more and more excited" were clearly filmed on the same day. Same clothes, same location, same lighting, same facial hair stubble, and zero change in vegetation in the background. It's like a reverse continuity error.
A very exciting project, good on you for highlighting it!
