We also put this movie out on ACTUAL VHS. Yes, it is no longer just a name, GemsOnVHS is real now. It started as a joke, and many hours of tinkering later we created these 100% homemade tapes. Break out your VCR and order one from us, it'll help keep Gems going. Fair warning through, it might be 25 minutes of this movie, then Die Hard or something for the rest of the tape. from this particular session we had a major sd card disaster so this is the only song i got all the way thru. i do have some other walloper recordings i should low key drop tho
Ah bless. I love a new Mary Walloper video. They've become big tent festival boyos in the last couple of years but nice see them still hold down the session in the local.
Watching and commenting even though I've watched the doc multiple times thru already. This proves how good Mary Wallopers are at injecting energy into a traditional Irish tune. Also, gotta love seeing Tadhg Mulligan playing with them, great combo. I'm assuming this was filmed the same night that you filmed the Tahg and Saran Mulligan video at the train station?
Hard to record because It's a pub session. This is where they went to collect all the tunes. Some people like to practice by themselves but others need to work it out with other people they met 5 minutes beforehand.

what song did they preform here!
All For Me Grog I think its called?!
The Dubliners and Pogues were first.
And nameless thousands before them, for centuries beyond.
The Wallopers were better when it was just the 3 of them
music is best shared with friends. ill listen even if they have a 100 piece band tbh
