Being just 23 million people and making such amazing achievements is really impressive

$20/minute is pretty cheap for a lithography machine to be down. Maybe it was $20k/minute?
I had an uncle that attempted in-land shrimp farming 40 years ago, though was not successful. Shrimp are extremely difficult to farm, so it will be interesting to see how this turns out.

at half a million minutes a year ther math is the following:
      $20 per minute: 10 million a year
      $20k per minute: 10 billion a year
I find the lower value more plausible.

$20/min that the machine is down? I think there are few zeroes missing there.

This is such a good introduction to cool startups in Taiwan! I would love to try out Sensay (or something similar to practice Chinese, instead of English)
BTW, I couldn't go to the Festival, so thank you for sharing what you liked, so we don't miss any of the cool things happening here!

9:10 on the subject of machine equipment sensors, I've done some research into that industry trying to create a product and have been employed in a large industrial facility. It seems to be a pretty interesting and somewhat fresh market.
The mechanical solutions are already very numerous and functional but the software is the big differentiator. If one could implement a software package that would greatly reduce the need for inspectors who have to parse the massive amounts of sensor data (by utilizing machine learning or something idk) you would have an extremely profitable product in your hands. Wish I were a software engineer lol.

I'm quite new to this channel but found it very informative. With that said, I am also close with a Start-Up Incubator based in Indonesia. They've been seeking into creating a global network of Start-Up Incubators (starting from the SEA region) that based it's operation on blockchain. I know you don't have direct connections to the events organizer, but if you do, I would really appreciate if you could guide me the way to come in contact with them.

Yes, I would be interested too. You accent sounds not like a strong Chinese accent. I thought you lived for a long time in Hong Kong or Singapore. I know that many people from Singapore speak only English. I met a Chinese teacher who is teaching online Sinaporean kids and told me that they have really problems to pronouce Chinese.

Is India's startup industry in some kind of bubble as it has seen too many unicorns this year

Taiwan has a bright future as the rest of US asian concubines. Lets see how it all settles down, once all the empty rethoric about freedom, identity, democracy, inexorabily gives way to the material conclusion when all these colonial outposts are depleted and spoiled out of their tech industry as US forcing TSMC into Texas is just a step of many to come.
Hopefully the kuomintang green lights Asianometry so he can make a video about this. Maybe the chip scarcity war that the US wages on the world. Maybe about the ideological delusion of a people that believe they belong as equals to a system thats there solely for their alienation and exploitation.
