Seeing that 2 stroke Tomos scooter brought back some great 80’s memories. Back in the mid 80s, I was 11-12 years old and had a Yamaha 2 stroke 50cc scooter. The thing would fly. I was a big kid for my age, and would put a helmet on and ride around everywhere and the cops never pulled me or suspected I was under 16. We also didn’t have to have a plate at that time. It was awesome!
Brother, please wear gloves. The first thing that will be destroyed in an off will be those talented fingers. Have a great spring and keep the awesome content coming.
I'm old school, can't stand gloves or any of that heavy riding equipment unless it's cold out, shorts and a tank top. I'm a stubborn old bastard. Lol thanks
Cheesy you were moving out on that 250. Yeah that's a pretty uneasy feeling when the hard part touches down leaning into a corner. Nice you got the van sold. It's a sweet little mini
Be careful with the renegade! Both my mother and sister have Trailhawk renegades. Both of them have had issues with the removable tops, apparently it's common. You can remove them, but sliding and putting them back in are a pain. They sell a newer lighter version. 4600 at the dealer. Then the rear brakes especially. So it's electronic calipers that are 'supposed' to release when you start it. So the radio actually controls it. Its how you disengage the rear brakes to do a brake job on these. On my sisters, it just wouldn't disengage when she went on a drive. Drug the rear brakes, had to be towed to the dealer to replace the stereo stereo, so it'd disengage. Definitely would not go aftermarket with a radio. I know for sure the idata link kits don't disengage them properly. On my mothers, I had to put front and rear brakes and rotors at 20k. They used probably the worst semi metallic brakes I've seen. The rears were worse, and looked to be dragging for the same not disengaging reason. 'i even had to unplug the battery multiple times, so the radio would actually disengage the brakes. Awful computers' Then my sisters ac stopped working at 60k. But I will say, the 4x4 is fantastic. I'm pretty sure only the Trailhawks have the selectable 4x4 low. Great crawler gear too. Not great for a taller felle 'apologies for the word vomit!'
Was going to get a trailhawk, found a regular renegade w 72k 1 owner car pretty. Cheap today so bought it. Test driving I did notice if you engage the park brake, it won't disengage like my wife's Cherokee. Thanks for the info!
Dead battery this is what happens when have to much stuff to drive or ride lol. Buy battery tender cables by bundles and put them on everything like I do .
@josephpuisis7567 I do already have the battery tender plugged but I don't have enough battery tenders, lol I have to buy more but they're not cheap for a good one anymore. But got to do what you got to do!
I've always wanted to try a Tomos Scooter since I was a kid, but still at 42 years old, I've never even seen one in real life in working order. Seen a few basket cases, and a barn fresh one.
It's actually pretty cool little do 35 mph, has a two-speed automatic transmission. When I got this many years ago I said to myself this is when I should never get rid of. It even has all the extra plastics, but I don't have them on, that fill underneath the gas tank
I was worried about my Honda PCX 150 sitting all winter, got my charger ready, started like it I started it up like yesterday, im in Tennessee where we do have winters and a smaller cold snap and got down to 5 F a d a chill factor of -30 F.
It's cheaper to fly but there's a lot more aggravation like getting dropped and picked up from the airport. When the gas was $2 a gallon it was much better and cheaper to drive
I’m on the fence with my KPX. It’s been like a year and a half and I still have under 200 miles. Contemplating either a sumo conversion which will be a lot of work and money, or finding a blown up binelli tnt or condor and doing a motor swap. The kpx is around 100lbs more than my grom, so in a mini frame with 20hp I think it would rip. But what do I do with the rest of the kpx? Find a carb motor and put it in? Part it out on eBay? Or do I just leave it as is for those brief times I want to wander into the woods? It’s hard being a grown up with a child’s brain.
Fitting that motor is going to take a lot of extra work because of the overhead cam the engine is higher, you're probably better off finding a 300cc CG style engine to put in a small mini grom style bike imo
@@MotoCheez older hawks and such use CG 250s, right? I’ll have to track someone down with one and take some measurements to compare. I’d just really like the fuel injection.
Yeah the Trailhawks has a selectable 4wd lock. If you wanna see, search up interior on Google. It's right behind the gear shifter. The buttons are 4wd lock, downhill assist, then mode 'snow, sand, rock, mud' Not sure about regular Renegades though. Cheezys gonna have to make a video on his!

I had that same issue with the front speed sensor. Took three times repacking it with grease and making sure it wasnt over torqued

Woo! I got the same bike with the same color in January. 1400 miles and running great.
Awesome
Thank you.
Had a Renegade a few years ago and it was a nice vehicle. AWD worked well, decent gas mileage. No issues.
I researched them. Seems great on gas, decent reliability and no CVT!

Loved the Tomos scooter!
My kid was saying did I ever do a video review on it, I don't think I ever did I probably should. That thing is great unstoppable
My wife has a renegade fun little car I like driving it.
It's so cute too. Wife loves it so far
Congrats on the mini van sale

That didn't take long to sell the van... Good on You.
Yeah the guy was cool as hell, already had other right-hand drive imports
I love 2 stroke smoke!

Hi Cheez!
Hi. 1st!
Cheesy your driving crazy today. Going to call you Moto Racer.
Haha. Just enjoying the twisties
Cheezy needs to buy some battery maintainers.
I have some, need more!
I thought I was on board with Cuban rider. Lol
Love the videos 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥

Hey @MotoCheez dont call that a scooter cuz its a moped, never mind its missing the peddles u are right its a scooter, love your vids
Thanks! 😁
No fair! George got 2 for the price of 1 heheh 😂
Renegades aren’t spacious for tall people but they do have a lot more seat range than my jeep patriot. Definitely a nifty fiat lol
Quite a bit of headroom. I was surprised.
Is that a CBRF2 I see in the ol' garage there?
Cbr600rr
@@MotoCheez nice!
New mic works very well. So, Florida or Connecticut? Which do you prefer? Do you think that the area youre in is pretty quiet?
Definitely leaning toward Florida. So much less expensive. Electric, taxes, food, gas, etc.
It's pretty quiet
Is it cheaper to fly to Florida from your place or drive. In Canada flights are not cheap
It's cheaper to fly but there's a lot more aggravation like getting dropped and picked up from the airport.

@ghettosled1976 yes, CG250
I thought you had to have the RPM's up higher for it to charge, like around 3k.
Higher the rpm, higher the voltage to charge, definitely better higher RPM
Двигатель на толкателях CG 250 , тянет лучше чем двигатель Lifan kpx 250?
The CG has more torque at low RPM, but this CB variant pulls harder into mid and higher RPM

How do I find out what chains on this hawk X?
The number will be on the chain and on the sprockets It's either a 428 or a 5:20
@MotoCheez sweet thanks good sir
Did you get rid of the call of duty ?
No, my son has it now You could see it in the background and one of the carports. Has 250,000 plus miles now still going strong
I realized, RWD cars are for young people.
So I bought a barrier-free FWD Suzuki car.
Just bought a Suzuki XL7,
Very impressive, welcome to the team 😊
