To the left of the front elevation there used to be a Chapel, that even nearly sixty years ago was in very bad repair, it's a shame it couldn't be renovated but the whole house was in disrepair by then.

Our house used to stand exactly where the ordsall lane entrance is. Used to play in the grounds of the hall as kids. That peacock, I'm sure used to stand outside ordsall girls. school. Nice video, only just found it.
Remarkable improvements have taken place over the years. I was last there about ten years ago, and on that occasion it was so much improved than the previous visit. Now it looks so much better again.

The piece started as an easy jazzy piece for one of my pupils but didn't turn out jazzy at all really. Should have written a ghostly one!
