    Pissing down rain and soaked roads yet still going faster than me on a perfect day

    Only the strongest and most determined riders were able to make the final group that day due to the weather conditions; the same thing happened in Colombia

    Note: If you want thousands of views you must put Lance Armstrong’s name in your thumbnail. (Nostalgic Cycling Road Race) does nothing. Replace that with (Lance Armstrong Wins!), or put his name in your photo since it is him in that photo. Most browsers will not recognize him and go right past this great, historic race.

    34:45 fucking hell imagine coming off going over the barrier then being sliced in 1/2 by a tram barreling past

      They crashed on the low traction white paint on the road when it got wet. You can just see their tires sliding out as they tried to break crossing the paint.

    21 year old Lance Armstrong wins his first big international race and finishes a great year for him.
    A horrible day for a bike race with rain and slippery corners that lead to more crashes than I have seen in a 1 day race. The great Mathieu van der Poel’s father was in this race, as was Miquel Indurain. In the amateur race the day before Jan’s Ullrich was the winner, who was soon to be a Tour de France winner and the biggest threat to Lance in 5 of his 7 wins.
    Note: Very few riders out of the 177 who started wore helmets (including Lance), which is particularly surprising considering the wet conditions and an increased chance of crashing. It shows that when the decision to wear a helmet was left up to the riders most professionals chose to wear a hat.

      What was his doping regimen prior to this race? Well Phil fewer options than in a decade!

    His excessive celebrations before crossing the finish line kinda cracked me up. Also when he stands on the podium he kinda does a Messiah gesture ( around 1:36:13 ). You can tell this guy had a giant ego.

    And it all meant NOTHING. Might as well post a video of Rosie Ruiz winning boston because it's just as worthless

      Last time I checked, this win still stands. Just sayin’.

      @freebird61885 he's admitted he cheated his whole pro career. That makes any win he had meaningless

    • @freebird61885
      @freebird61885 10 днів тому

      @ first, he hasn’t. Second, by that logic, we should consider all of three-time-adjudicated cheater Eddy Merckx’s wins “meaningless?”

      @freebird61885 you have Eddy Merckxs pee?
      Eddie was great because he had far and away the most talent. Lance was nothing until he started cheating and had a very average V02 max.
