Thanks so much! That's my goal, to make stuff that's good enough that you click it no matter what the title and thumbnail are. I just want people to be curious what we're up to.
Hey Hey Birdo Gang! Did you know I also make an appearance in the Beyond the Wasteland Documentary? 😊 Thank you so much for watching! We bad a lot of fun being at this special event! Hope there will be a 50th anniversary!
What a friggen awesome weekennd. Got to catch up with Mad Mates. Spent some dollars at the Auction. Got the huge promotional banner. And the bike Dale was riding was a the OG bike from the movie. Are you going to to the Running on Empty Festival in Cobar in Septemper 2025 ?
Cool video man. You should check out a movie called The Cars That Ate Paris. Sofala is where they made it and isn't too far from Sydney (I was there today) has hardly changed. You can even stay the night in the old Jail there if you want.
AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH I saw Firebird witout that hat!! It's like seeing Molly Meldrum without a hat lol (You'll love countdown but he didn't have the hat then lol)
Great show... I remember you saying how we play like kids in order to prepare for life... Well let's hope it never happens or at least not as harsh... We did live through 2008 Financial crisis and many did survive the fuel crisis soo fingers crossed!
Hmmm, Miura time; Dallara was an engineer who designed the chassis, while Gandini designed the body. So the guy was right about Dallara but he confused Gandini with Giugiaro, but they both worked at Bertone. Confusing, eh?
Excellent anniversary vid!
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Rock on!🤙
Nigel
Thank you again!
Thankyou for these memories ☹️I’m a little sad days are over
Yeah there might not be another one....
Great video again. Really enjoyed it. What a bummer. I didn't know this was on. I would have loved to have gone.
I usually hear about this stuff in the Mad Max groups on Facebook.
You both put out awesome content. Great work. I look forward to every one of your videos

Well done Mr firebird, it's great that u documented this event , I dare say it will probably fade away as time moves on ✌
Yeah I'm glad we were there, too. Not a lot of people were there filming actually.
Thanks Wasteland firebird for this vid, i wanted to go but life got in the way :(
Life is pretty awesome too, though!
@@WastelandFirebird indeed it is
so good, your making history just being there, all these great people wont be around to do these events forever
Another Australian car movie worth seeing : 'FJ HOLDEN' 1978
Also Midnight Spares.
Ah we did see Midnite Spares also!

We've missed that festival so far. We do really want to go. Does it have a date yet?
Fuck. I live in Clunes. I'm home now. I never knew this was on this weekend...
This happened back in September.
Awww sorry you missed it!
Cheers Firebird

Oh yeah I love that film! And one time we stayed in Sofala. It was super cool.
@@WastelandFirebird Middle of winter is the time to stay there, bloody cold. LOL
can't forget "Stone" before the days of the nike' bikies

Yeah I was considering blurring my bare head out. But I figured it was necessary for the viewers to witness this for once.
@@WastelandFirebird Probably more for future... "Did Firebird ever take off his hat!!?" answer is yes lol
So it's not just for two reasons lol
Malcolm and The Big Steal and the Redex Reliability Trials

In some sense, every day is a fight for survival. The good news is, some days you don't have to fight too hard.
@@WastelandFirebird Yeah I suppose there is a society even if very dysfunctional lol
Wheres the goose and that kwaka 1000
Unfortunately, he had to cancel due to filming priorities.

Apparently these guys also had a hand in the pantera
@@andresinnett4319 Yes, but Gandini only did the 1990 restyle.
Sadly Holden is not made in Australia anymore!!
September 18th till 21st 2025 at Cobar.
Ah yes, it always clashes with Wasteland Weekend :-(
Great video guy's, would be nice to see Mel Gibson turn up one day. And also did Kundalini ever get his hand back.😍
The Cars that ate Paris
Oh I love that one! That's one of the best.
@WastelandFirebird Has some of Australias' older, best known actors. Shows how a film can be so good, on a small budget, especially back then 😊
Get over it
Never!
