Layali Lubnan | Arabian Dessert | Lebanese Night | Milk Pudding | Semolina Pudding

The word Layali Lubnan means Lebanese Night in Arabic.Layali Lubnan is made from semolina,milk and sugar.There are two layers.The first is semolina pudding which is then topped with a layer of ashta[clotted cream].This dessert is then topped with an abundance of chopped pistachios for crunch and colour.Lastly once completely chilled and ready to be served Attar [sugar syrup] poured over it.
INGREDIENTS

HOMEMADE CHEESE
Milk 2 cups
Lemon juice 2 tspn
Sugar syrup
Sugar 1 cup
Water ½ cup
Lemon juice 1 tspn
FIRST LAYER
Semolina ¾ cup
Sugar ½ cup
Milk 4 cups
Rose water 1 tspn
Vanilla essence
SECOND LAYER
Corn flour 2tspn
Milk 2 cups
Sugar 2 tbsp
Fresh cream ¾ cup
Cream cheese 2tbsp
Garnishing- Pistachios,almonds,cashew nuts and thin slices of beet root
