Amazing job! I love the final results. You would like painting a little more if you thin them before brushing. Just a drop of thinner would make so much difference as it reduces the brush strokes and make the whole thing really smooth. You will need to go over it at least 2 or 3 more times to have a fuller coverage, but you won't have the uneven paint surfaces and it's totally worth it! Then coat it with a matte/gloss top coat to protect the paint from scratches, but more importantly it somehow blends and covers up any uneven colors you might have missed. Also giving them a white prime before painting would give you a fresh starting point so the original colors won't bleed into your new ones. Btw, a little blue to the red and white would give you lavender 😜
Ooohh snap that’s some good advice! Like actual paint thinner? Interesting. And painting on white is a great idea, I even think Bob Ross paints his canvases with a white coat first 🤔 I’m definitely going to implement these suggestions for next time 😎 I should have known the gloss would be good to add since it really makes the woody hair I have painted pop and cover mistakes, but I didn’t think to use it on other things. I’ll have to get matte since I think that would work better on something like this. Next time I’ll kill it with the painting! 😎👍🏼👍🏼 thanks for the suggestion and for tuning in, my friend!
@@CinemaToybox I think the paint thinner you are referring would break down and remove acrylic paints instead. I am using airbrush thinner from Vallejo, which kinda just dilutes the paint and make them easier to work with. Haha yes, a top coat is very useful in many instances, you should definitely experiment with both matte and gloss. Just a simple spray can top coat would work wonders and coupled with thinned down paints, you don't even need airbrush for most of the projects. Only certain paints like white and yellow would be hard to brush on, but the rest should be fine. It's really interesting to see how other creators find alternative ways to go around making an accurate toy, and it's truly inspiring to see the final results. Good luck!
Hey man! This mrs potato head is very cool! I also think i have a way to fix the holes at the feet :) i think if you take some clay and sculpt it into the basic shape of the shoe and repaint it. I think no one would notice. But its just an idea. It doesent make this custom less awesome! B)
Oooh that’s a good call! Like make the pegs that connect the feet to the body out of clay? 🤔 I could see that working well! I may have to add that since my current solution isn’t as great 😂 I have an extra pink peg just inserted for now. You can see it at the last part of the vid. Glad you liked the custom and video! 😁👍🏼
i have just recently come across your content. NEVER have I found a woody as accurate as yours. I want to know how I can get one that accurate, my main concern is where to find a head... I CANNOT find one that looks good. Can I pay you to make me one?
Thank you, Muddy! I appreciate you for being here 😁 the head is from a guy on Instagram named “SEEDTOYS2019” and it comes in a whole kit with hands and accurate badge! I then pair it with a Medicom woody for the body. If you ever get that head kit and a medicom woody I would gladly customize it and put it all together for you at no charge for service 😁👍🏼 only thing I would ask is for you to pay for return shipping!
@@CinemaToyboxThat is so kind of you! I saw seed toys sell the head and the hands too. I think I really want to mod it myself, I can take more pride in it that way. I respect how passionate you are about it though! I wanted to ask you, how well does the Woody doll head stay in place with the zip tie? I am worried it might hang down. Also, can it be played with? I am contemplating letting my girlfriend's sister play with it from time to time, but I worry it is too fragile.

Might have to one day! I’ll put it on the list 😎👍🏼👍🏼
Thanks man ❤
that is shockingly good! id suggest to make the shoes a bit closer to each other, but that's about it
Thank you! I appreciate that 😁👍🏼 yeah I’d say the shoes were probably the biggest weakness of this custom haha not a bad deal if that’s the worst part

I was wondering where did you get those vintage arms for mr potato head
I had to buy an old vintage potato head on eBay and take the arms from it off 👍🏼
Hey buddy, ¿what colors do you mix to make Potato Head's skin color?
I think my Mr potato head tutorial shows it. This one should too briefly but I don’t remember off the top of my head otherwise
First!
Nice mod but I think the eyes are light purple
Thank you
Can you have a link to the eyes because I am going to use those eye on my mr and Mrs potato head

You should get a zurg
I do need a zurg 😎👍🏼
Also the worst thing about the toy story 4 Mrs Potato head is that they made the shoes too tall for the toy
Yeah I agree haha how hard is it for them to give accurate toys 😂
But that’s why I decided not to use them
Hi
Hello!
May you please replace the Toy Story 4 bodies with the 1990's bodies?
1st, remove the lip so that you don't go nuts.
I don’t have any plans to. If it didn’t have the lip I would
@@CinemaToybox Well, I recommend finding a way to get rid of that lip.
OK?
