I ended up making a new MyPlayer as well. went with 6'8" playmaking SG. I made the early mistake like most with shorter arms. Maxed them out this time and has made a world of difference. Better release point and defense automatically way better. got chasedown badge in my 2nd game after draft.

Yo shake, make a 6'10 point forward with max wingspan to get boards over centers, or lowest wingspan to shoot better. Also make sure to put his weight all the way down (around 199-200) However, the only downside would be that you would need to boost your playmaking every game to speed boost. But it isn't that bad :p just my suggestion

When that retrieving data thing turns up and it takes more than10 minutes, while it's at that screen, unplug your PS4/Xbox one and load you 2k back up and it should work
a 6'8 or even 6'9 point forward will give you better rebounds and blocks but will definitely feel the same as your SG. might as well try a different archetype. I'd recommend shot creator definitely. it's similar to play maker but way less easy to defend. a lot of people have issues with defending play makers. but if you force them to shoot they're pretty garbage most of the time. slasher would be fun for career but I think that you would really like SC.
+Shakedown2012 It does that on Xbox and Playstation sometimes. Clearing reserved space shouldn't take 30 minutes though. If you would have pressed ok it still would have been fine. You don't need to uninstall. It has happens to me sometimes. After you press ok go to the player select screen on mycareer and it will show your players with no name. Just load up each of your players into your mycareer court and go back to the main menu. It will be fixed.

6'8 point forward, hands down the best build. You can literally do everything. I'm big, quick as hell, grab boards over bigs and block shots.
