The color ways you picked for the La Prairie sweater are beautiful.I was not able to join #joji’s Fall Kal but will be knitting the Granito soon. I also had to come up with a system to get my knitting done. I am a slow knitter and can get distracted with just about anything. I have a tablet that I write what I am knitting and divide each project by days. For example, I can knit socks in 10 days. So I chart how much is to be done for every few days and it’s working! This month of September I was able to finish a pair on time. Plus, I finished Tassels in the Sky.
Thanks, Elizabeth. I like your old school tablet system. I always lose paper, notebooks, etc., but I can easily find my Google Docs. You must be more organized than I am.
I think the blue should be at the end. Bobbles would catch on everything. I wouldn’t want them sticking out ,because my dogs and grandchildren would be snagging on them
Your Slipdream shawl is lovely! I’m not doing the #joji KAL this year - the Burra cowl KAL and Summer Sock camp KAL with Crazy Sock Lady wore me out on KALs for a while!
Thanks, Kendra! I can definitely understand KAL fatigue. I'm always saying that I don't like deadlines. I'm not planning to push myself to finish before the end of the KAL, but my plans often change. We shall see.
The Slipstream is beautiful! For La Prairie, I think the caked up blue would fade nicely into the blue-purple skein. You could do light blue-green, darker blue-green, blue-purple, and blue, or reverse it. You do look very nice in green, so if I were making this for you I’d put the greens at the top. I am working on a #Joji pattern right now, the Lounging Top. It won’t qualify for the official Fall KAL but I was really happy to see that her group is having a WIP finishing challenge in September. If I have my 💩 together next year, maybe I will try to make a cardigan. I love her All The Lights and Citadel cabled designs.
Thanks for the color advice. I forgot that your Lounging top was Joji's pattern. I'm enjoying watching your progress on IG. Fingering weight projects take way too long, don't they? But so do all-over cabled cardigans.
#Joji my 3rd year participating in her KAL. I am knitting 7 things this year! 4 shawls, 1 cowl, 1 hat, 1 pair of socks! Most patterns i have knit multiple times. Just saw Roxanne Richardson video this morning 😂
I found the podcast about the crochet sweater. She is Stitches be Slipping Episode 15. She uses colorful language, but is a nice person. She discusses the sweater towards the end of her video.
I was not aware of Joji’s Fall KAL. I would like to knit #joji boxy sweater. As far as your sweater, I like the blues, to blue purple, blue green, to lightest skein. You could reverse if you like lighter color near your face.
I wasn’t aware of #Joji KAL, and I think you may have inspired me to start (and hopefully finish) “Starting Point”. I purchased and downloaded this pattern a couple of years ago and it’s been on my radar, but just haven’t found the opportunity to get started on this project…. Maybe now is the time!
I have a #joji pattern and yarn set aside for the Frank Shawl. I don’t know if it will qualify for her kal or not. I’ll check out the details, but maybe I’ll start it this fall. For your fade, I like the 2 greenish colors, then the blue, then the darker color.
I think you mentioned that Joji pattern before. I remember because it's one of the tabs I still have open in my browser. 😅 I think entries closed for the kal except for any new patterns she releases after September 1st. Thanks for the color advice!
🤣 weapon pointed at your head. The needles go in your yarn, silly - not at your head. 🤦♀️ But on a more serious note, I didn't time myself for the purpose of racing. I wanted a realistic expectation of what I can complete, given the amount of time I have. It was intended to calm myself more by adjusting my expectations of when I am capable of finishing things.
@@pandemicknitter oh, okay, so many people are almost racing to knit projects to show on the next podcast that I’m not sure they are actually enjoying the process any more. If timing yourself is a good thing for you then go girl go ! Sorry I post so often, I guess I just need to as I live by myself and know no other knitters.
Your slipdream looks great. I wasn’t sure I liked your colors when you started, but it is lovely. # joji
Thanks, Doris! 😊
Oh that slipstream turned out lovely.
Thank you. I'm very happy with it!
#Joji. I would like to knit the Hipster. I love the shawl you just finished, BEAUTIFUL!
Thanks, Mary. Yes, the Hipster looks cool. I'm interested in how those x shapes are made.

Seven projects? You are far more ambitious than I am! I'll be cheering you on while I slowly knit my cardigan.

Thanks for letting me know! I'll check it out.

That boxy sweater has been popular recently. Thanks for your advice on the fade.

I don’t agree about the timer thing. I knit to relax, not because I have a weapon pointed at my head. Really, who cares how fast I knit.

Your posts are great. I love that you're staying in communication. It's definitely not too much.
