Wow, another great mod upgrade Phil. That 19" screen looks great. I purchased the Retro Shooter maybe around Nov 10? Of 2023. Right after BSA released their video on converting the gen 1 cab. 6 months later it's still not released. The retro shooter is still in the box unopened. I think they switched to the 4ir after Nov 1. Cant wait for it. SF2 has the joystick and 6 buttons so Im looking forward to qbert, Yie-Ar Kung Fu, Elevator Action and all these shoot em up games. Your arcade has been really modded and upgraded. Awesome additions. Cheers!
Very cool upgrade, hows loki, where can angel see more pictures of her aunt loki? THe year is flying by but even if a1up isnt putting out much you are really stepping up your arcade! I really like the t2 with all these goodies installed, looks great.
@pd7 thanks for linking my video, since i did my buystuff upgrade all at once my situation was different because the hdmi encoder board was premounted on the back of my 19 inch monitor from buystuffarcades. But im glad my video helped you figure out where that ground wire can go. Now i need to be like you and order those upgraded guns so i can use all four sensors instead of two.
@@PDX7 mx24 look dope, I wish I could somehow use the current buystuff set up to use those. But I'm fine with the pistols. I just got to save up the money and get the upgraded ones.
Outstanding video Phil! Great to see you are back up and running with Retro Shooter. I assume you sent yours back to be reflashed. I agree, if you have the means, get everything for the mod ahead of time and do it once. Makes all the difference. Thanks for the video link to my T2 reskin video and the shoutout. Much appreciated!
Congrats on the upgrade and glad to see your T2 isn’t Out Of Order. I’m contacting them now to see about getting a 19” but I recessed my monitor and need to see if they can trim the sides of the mount so it can be mounted flush inside with L-brackets.
Hey Nick, it’s costly in my opinion it’s with it because I want to put cabs next to XL and visually they will seem bigger to me now. There’s a few more I’m going to do.
Good review... Honestly I prefer the team encoder mod, but I do have the retro shooter in going to put it on a Gen 1 cab eventually. But I do like that machine gun, I wonder do they use the 4 sensor system, as I only have the two sensors...... BTW I see all the haters 🖕🏿 keep doing your thing!!!
I think you should add a computer speaker system with sub. Like a Logitech system. It should really rock the bullets. Is there an aliens movie game on it??
T2 is back!! Hey Phil!! That great to see your T2 back and running. I agree what you said it’s a cheap mod but can get expensive if you are buying everything at once the cab, the 19in and the retro shooter. But I feel it’s a great option to play more games. I’m still loving my retro shooter. I have mine set up on a 32 in tv and it came with the 4 sensors and it’s as accurate as it can be. Phil, question..incase I were upgrade my T2 with the 19in monitor will my guns work knowing it was sent with the 4 sensors? Awesome review and thanks for sharing👊🏼
Hey Julio, there’s a standard 19” monitor without the sensors you can buy for T2, TC and BB. I’m going to get one for my TC, it will work perfect for you 👊
Join the retro shooter Facebook fan page or the buystuff arcades page. Both contain links to the retroshooter update game list. You download the games from their Google drive. Put them on a USB flash drive and it'll add them when it you plug them into the retro shooter box. You can also clone the retro shooter micro SD card onto a bigger micro SD card and put the new games into that card and load them up. And also make sure to update your retro shooter box to the latest software thru updates on the system
I have the four sensor guns- so this should be all good for me to do still right? ALSO what?? I can download Revolution X and dragons lair just from updating my pandora's box by hooking up to wifi?? I got heavily into modding another cabinet so set the T2 project to the side a couple months ago. Love the updates and videos-thanks again!
Hi, there’s a step by step on fb on Buystuff Arcades page. After updating your retro shooter there are steps on downloading a few extra games that plug into your box.
The problem is not the guns or monitor now. It’s trying to get a T2 cab for under $699. What do you think about the Time Crisis Cab? Would it be worth it to get one of those?
It would be, the thing is TC is around 649 right now. I’d recommend getting the 19” monitor also or at least the buystuff riser booster because monitor is a little low. Are you seeing any T2 on marketplace? If you go with T2, Big Buck or TC I’d do everything you’re going to do at once.
PD7, I just got my Buy Stuff Arcades monitor and control panel and I can't wait to hook them up to the Time Crisis. I don't know when I'll be able to build everything, possibly in July or August, but looking forward to it. I did have a question. I've tested the Retro Shooter Kit on my regular TV with their 4 sensors and found that I have to have the room pitch black in order for the lightgun tracking to work. If I have even one light on in the room, the crosshairs jump randomly on the screen and it's pretty much unplayable. I noticed in this video, you had all the lights off testing the kit on the Buy Stuff Arcades monitor with their sensors. Have you tried playing the retro shooter kit with the new Buy Stuff Arcades 4 sensors with the lights on? It looks like this might be the system's biggest flaw. Thank you for your time. vgv
Hi VGV, I thought with lights off you wouldn’t see a glare on the screen just for video purposes. It works great on or off, but that’s in the A1up maybe the tv picks up light more being in the open and not tucked under a marquee. I’m sure they recommend playing in a darker room, I kind of remember hearing that. Thank you for saying hi :) I’m tempted to get another kit for my TC.
PD7, Thank you for the info! It's making me happier that this might just workout in my Home Arcade with lights coming from the other machines. I may have to turn off some of the crazy lighting I have in that room, but glad to hear some light just might work. vgv
PD7, I'm actually going with the Buy Stuff Arcades 19" monitor upgrade like you did. Not only for the bigger screen, but also, so I don't have to remove the PCB from the stock Monitor in case I ever want to go back. My monitor came in the mail this week along with their Ultimate Control panel with the upgraded joystick and 6 action buttons. I'm hoping to play Marvel Vs. Capcom 2 and Tekken 3 on that cabinet as well, because the Pandora has both of those games along with all the lightgun ones. All in all, this was a pretty pricey project, just north of $1,500. However, this cab is so robust, that if everything works the way it should, it'll bring so many more great titles to my Home Arcade. I'm still recovering from an injury back in December and I hope to start building all my projects sometime in July or August. I can't wait to get my new upgraded arcade in order. Have a great one! vgv
@videogamevegas that’s a really great idea having the pcb with the monitor. I’m sorry to hear about your injury, the price is a good chunk of money but you have everything on 1 cab :)
@Excaidus-Metal & @KaoticBPR, I just got my "19 inch" Time Crisis Buy Stuff Arcades monitor and was concerned with the size also. I measured from corner to corner and it comes to 18 inches. The only explanation I can think of is they may have needed to crop it slightly behind the custom bezel to have the correct aspect ratio for the Retro Shooter Kit. Now, I can only speak to the Time Crisis version I got , but I'd be surprised if it was different from the T2 edition. I hope this helps vgv
@videogamevegas I want to get an actual 19" monitor for my Golden Tee XL. I thought it physically looked smaller than a 19". Definitely appreciate the information.
It does look bigger to me, I didn’t notice it being shorter corner to corner when I first measured. Will this work with GT? I’m thinking the ratio is 5.4 on the XL.
I didn’t notice the sound being off, I am convinced there are firing noises. I’ll double check tonight, I haven’t played the soft mod. I actually sold my original T2 pcb / control deck before I ran into that minor issue.
@@PDX7 ok . But I do like the retro shooter mod, it can get kinda pricy where as the soft mod is free, ironically those 20 games were the only ones I really played on the retro shooter And the soft mod emulated those games better...
