His performance in Aftersun is one of those special performances that will stay with me forever. So simple yet cuts right to the heart of something sincere and profound.
Paul isn't just easy on the eyes-he's a rare gem in the sea of actors today! his love for the craft, down-to-earth charm and the innate talent he has made him such an anomoly and it shows: Normal People, Aftersun and now All of Us Strangers! so excited for this movie and what the future holds for Paul 💖
@naff_tm Like, honestly, what do you see at him? A normal dude, quite some irregular features, in Aftersun he had like the most common and uninspiring body, pale( not in a great way, I like pale, but not like his skin), hairless, not a big deal of chest, quite slumpy and all over the place. I mean not even close to the big guns in looks
@@adrianpocea2287he was told to have a dad body for Aftersun- personally I think he is beautiful- clear blue eyes- Roman nose- curly hair- Irish accent- he speaks Irish or Gaelic. He also has amazing legs.
I've watched Normal People atleast twice a year since it came out, idk why but that miniseries is absolutely addictive. Just exactly what I want from a teen miniseries and more. Paul's chemistry with Daisy Edgar-Jones is some of the best i've ever seen
I love Paul's new look! He actually passes for a Roman emperor from the 3rd Century. I wish him well in Gladiator 2 doing Ireland 🇮🇪 proud, and I hope he knocks the role of Lucius out of the park!
All of Us strangers is such a beautiful emotional journey. I encourage everyone who can, to see it! You won’t regret it, I promise. I still my heart still aches from the feeling of it.
All of Us Strangers is my favorite Film from this year and towards the top of my favorites of all time. Paul and Andrew are outstanding together. I’m so excited to be witnessing the birth of such a young talented actor like Paul. And to also see Andrew getting lead roles In prestigious films. 10/10 all around
Well, well, well. A star is born. Fantastic interview. Great honest questions. Great honest answers. And, oh boy, do I want to know who fell asleep in the theatre!
i saw a screening of all of us strangers and i knew it would obliterate me emotionally but not in the way it ended up doing so.. see it at your own peril
Love the parents are from Napa Valley comment. I was once lectured by an ‘Irish American’ about what we in the UK did to Ireland, his ancestral home. Turns out I had 5 Irish born great grandparents and he had two.
Why were the intimate scenes with Scott a relevant question? It was asked as if a scene between two men is difficult compared to a scene between a man and a woman. The homophobia never stops.
Lol, what? Uh, yes. It is harder for a hererosexual man to do an intimate scene with a man instead of a woman. How is that homophobia? You're obviously going to be more comfortable with someone you are attracted to opposed to someone you're not attracted to. The fact I even need to explain this is weird.
Why are interviewers fascinated to ask Paul Mescal and Andrew Scott about the intimate scenes, then don’t listen to their thoughtful answers, and essentially seem embarrassed and make a distracting comment. Happened here. Both Paul and Andrew have responded every time with exquisitely considered answers and only a few interviewers have been able to take the conversation further. The interviewer starts to sound gratuitous. The intimate scenes form the story and it’s important themes ..and are not in the film to be gratuitous! 🐑🐑🇳🇿🇳🇿NZ
I have yet to see Normal People and All of Us Strangers. But I have seen Aftersun, and it absolutely wrecked me. It seems like from what everyone is saying, Paul is one hell of a prolific upcoming actor. And I can agree easily just from his performance in Aftersun. Excited to see the new heights he will continue to reach!
Paul Mescal should have no problem talking to Jimmy's dad about Mayo. Sure isn't is favourite place in the whole wide world Bali...... Bali.........Bali...........Ballyhaunis... Ballyhaunis. Some of us still remember you from the Denny Sausages advert. 😅
It wasn’t Andrew Garfield. Someone who was at the show posted about it months ago, and they said it was an American actor who is best known for a tv show
Ugh...what was it like performing love scenes with a man. What a predictable question, and borderline homophobic Jimmy!! So many other questions could have been asked of the movie but this is the ONE?? Disappointing

i watch it at least 2 time every mouth pal ur nothing special
It's one of my favorites. So much in one show.
Is it because of his nakedness? 😂
All of Us Strangers is so beautiful. Such a brilliant film. Highly highly recommend.
But my God was it sad! I wasn't ready to feel that much!
He definitely has it. There’s something enthralling about him. Just overall a gorgeous man.
That IS called Charisma
It's interesting how the international audience seem to find him attractive. In ireland he just looks kind of average
ALL OF US STRANGERS is such a beautiful haunting film. Both actors were phenominal
And totally ignored by the Academy.
I love Paul's new look!
He actually passes for a Roman emperor from the 3rd Century. I wish him well in Gladiator 2 doing Ireland 🇮🇪 proud, and I hope he knocks the role of Lucius out of the park!
I hope he keeps this overall look. He is absolutely stunning!
That's for gladiator i guess
his performance in aftersun was heartbreakingly beautiful. never seen anything like that

How did you see it? Was it at a special screening?
@@carrington2949 Yes. There was a screening in LA. It was the West coast premiere.
Paul Mescal is special and wonderfully humble.
not only did Andrew play the hot priest, he also played an amazing Moriarty on my alltime favorite show 'Sherlock', he was sooo good!

Love love love Paul!!!! Beautiful human being whose light bleeds through into the world.
Damn, what a natural performer Paul Mescal is. Not only does the camera love him but when he turns it on - it's like the air ignites around him.
Not everyone can rock a gold chain - but he does it so, so well 🥰

The Paul and Andrew combo is just...heaven for me
Paul: *talks about filming intimate scenes in a deep, meaningful way*
Jimmy: So what do you mean by those 3/4 shorts?
ugh
there is something about this guy that i really like

he's genuine

Have you seen Aftersun? That film will absolutely destroy you. Paul is so good in that.
The boy is doing very well
‘Normal People’ is a great watch -
Watched the first few episodes, till they went off to college, and it couldn't keep my attention.
I love paul so much
We love paul mescal
I will watch anything he or Andrew Scott is in. Looking forward to the movie! And love his new look ❤
Jimmy Kimmel is such an awkward interviewer, but props to Paul for sidestepping his boring questions.
Most American interviewers are boring and kind of awkward.
He is incredible in Normal People, and so endearing.
Paul is a handsome lad❤❤❤
Love the parents are from Napa Valley comment. I was once lectured by an ‘Irish American’ about what we in the UK did to Ireland, his ancestral home. Turns out I had 5 Irish born great grandparents and he had two.
Paul has an old Hollywood feel to me, or what I imagine an actor of that time to be like since I wasn’t around then
Go see this movie. Of course Paul is great in it but Andrew Scott delivers a generational performance.
Why were the intimate scenes with Scott a relevant question? It was asked as if a scene between two men is difficult compared to a scene between a man and a woman. The homophobia never stops.
Well when the actor is heterosexual, so it's probably harder or slightly more uncomfortable for him
Lol, what? Uh, yes. It is harder for a hererosexual man to do an intimate scene with a man instead of a woman. How is that homophobia? Paul should have said it was Matt Damon snoring 😂
As someone who got destroyed by flea bag and normal people…. WHY WOULD U PUT THOSE TWO IN SOMETHING TOGETHER 😫😫😫
I know! Can’t wait to see it!
GOD HE'S PERFECT

Just finished Normal People which lead me to Aftersun...watching it now
Omg he looks soo different now, loved him in Aftersun such a unique and poignant movie.

Not surprised Jimmy squeezed one of those impressive shoulders as Paul must have been filming Gadoator 2 at this time.
He’s such a pleasure

The drunk guy must have been Jack O'Connell.

First guess is Collin Farrell
Talk about handsome 😍 😋
I don't normally like white socks with black loafers but if Paul does it, then it's OK with me!
Andrew Scott wore them as well for his interview with Stephen Colbert. Must be a new style trend.
