What Jackie was describing were Pharisees in her life. People who knew the law, but they forgot the key components of being a christian which are love, grace, forgiveness, and etc.
@Elegant Anne: true, but the church doesn’t teach Torah anymore, so people/‘Christians’ don’t know of God’s holiness, love and mercy (all of which is in the older testament).
I cant thank you enough for this broadcast. I have a 13 y/o who has identified as Bi. I have been praying for how to communicate to her how The Gospel is better than sin. This is God's answer to my prayers. Thank you for sharing this❤!
Jim Daly such a great interviewer. His voice is so comforting and full of compassion. Very gifted man! Jackie girl you’re the bomb! I love every time you speak. So insightful❤️🔥
That Brother has spoken to me just by how he phrases questions filled with compassion . I would find myself shedding a tear or two because of how warm he makes Christ. It's like conviction coming through those straight forward but compassionate questions.
I found this very interesting, my daughter is going through the same problem. We were talking two days ago and she was telling me she has those feeling and thought about loving girl and wanted to protect them from she was 4-5 years old. This story gives me hope 🙏 I won't give up on her.
This is an awesome interview. The church rarely has the platform to talk about sexuality of any kind, and in turn wants to tell people about the abomination and not about the healing
I love Jackie’s testimony and teaching. Including and beyond LBGTQ but the basics of how to be true followers of Christ- living out our faith with complete obedience to His law AND with complete love and compassion for everyone. That really helps frame how to encourage, witness and love people around me who need Jesus as desperately as I do
I just love Jackie. She's full of God's Spirit and wisdom. Her testimony is very encouraging. I've done stuff in my life that I've kept a secret and I'm not sure I will ever be able to share. But The Lord has removed all the guilt and He has cleansed my conscious and in that I will always be deeply thankful.
My challenge is that I want to say all the right things and then for my friend or relative instantly want to change. Thank you for letting us know it{s okay to be patient, and most importantly to pray and let the Holy Spirit do the work. Thank you for this program.
The wisdom and grace that the Lord has given to this lovely woman is a beautiful thing to behold. Her testimony spoke to me around trust of another. Fearing that the feminine would crush me. But having the faith to trust that a godly wife is not only possible but a gift.
Yes, Katy! The Holy Spirit showed you how wonderful Jesus is, and showed you how much you needed Him. I am so blessed to have heard your testimony and so glad the Lord is using you in this mighty way!! :) Also, Keisha, thank you for following the leading of the Holy Spirit in being open to Katy coming to the Lord in His time. :)
This is awesome. I've been praying for more of an understanding because I have nieces who live with this and it's definitely a sensitive subject. I never wanted to make them feel like they have to hide it. I always thought one needs to approach it with love and not condemnation. Love like Jesus loves. 💖
I love how articulate you are Jacky! One of my favorite poets. I love this interview because it let's us see how to approach individuals that maybe going through the same thing. Thank you for this interview ❤️🙏🏾
Awesome interview. 👌 Jackie is a gem to this world. So well spoken. Honest. Clear, eloquent and most importantly filled with the words of the Lord. Bible people. Really read it.
Such an intelligent, bright light. I can’t get enough of her videos and her heart. WOW!!!! I am in awe and love what a beautiful example she and Preston set for us fellow followers of Jesus ❤️❤️❤️✨✨✨✨✨✨🙏🏻
I love this discussion. I was in a relationship for 15 years and my boyfriend blindsided me by saying he's moving on. I was to turn 59 yrs one month later. I was devastated. I spent 2019 under the covers filled with depression and anxiety. As i begun to see a light, the pandemic happened. Although my story is not hers, i got so much out of your discussion. I have hope. I would love to have love in my life but question how that can happen since I've never been one to actively seek a relatioship nor live the kind of life that would allow me to meet different types of people. I look forward to future discussions. Thank you
Thank you for bring up this so well. I am on the same shoes she were, just Spanish culture and male version. Spanish churches condemn us. I 've been blessed to know the Lord and have a strong Bible based faith, but my church brethren congregation reject me. I am 51 years old, Cuban origin. I was sexually abused at 6 repeatedly. I wish I could move up to an American Curch that cares for people like us, be trained to help others in our Spanish community.
As a Christian, I identified with what she said about Xheisfians being so quick to ahove scriptures down your throat. I had a homsexual friend and when he came out, I felt didnt exactly love on him and ask him enough questions about his experience, but I cried and kind of distanced myself. When we spoke later, he admitted my reaction hurt him. I learned from my experience of being friends with him, especially with someone with that background, to love on them more. This goes for anyone that has a struggle of some sort- listen and practice empathy first. Don't just throw scriptures at folks b/c the Lord himself meets us where we're at. Then again, at the time, I guess I just didn't know how to handle that properly as I had my own issues and had never been friends with someone that came out before. You live and you learn.
Beauty is, you learned and will teach someone to do better next time. Some of our most painful experiences will bless others in future. I've also had my fair share of feeling like I didn't handle some situations in my life well, but the beauty is that my testimony will help someone one day to do better. Take heart
Jackie Hill Perry and Rosario Butterfield reveal the love of Jesus that is desperately needed in the church if we hope to help LGBTQ loved ones to find identity in Christ.

What Jackie was describing were Pharisees in her life. People who knew the law, but they forgot the key components of being a christian which are love, grace, forgiveness, and etc.
I completely agree, I was one of them. Thankful for God's grace, Pharisee no more!!
@Elegant Anne: true, but the church doesn’t teach Torah anymore, so people/‘Christians’ don’t know of God’s holiness, love and mercy (all of which is in the older testament).
The host gives me that vibe

This is an awesome interview. The church rarely has the platform to talk about sexuality of any kind, and in turn wants to tell people about the abomination and not about the healing
It’s because they don’t understand it or care to understand it and what you don’t understand, you fear.

the bravery it must of taken for her to be this honest. Praise Jesus
"You were a princess without the dress."
You don't have to like pink to be a woman. Many women look awful in pink:)
I'm learning so much from Jackie about coming up higher in being a follower of Jesus!
