This is William J Tsamis. The song is in Gminor. The main riff is a mix of legato hammering and pulloffs. This is done on the open D string beginning the hammering at frets 7, 8 and 10, and then pulling-off on the G string at frets 7 and 8. It is all done in this manner, and then descending on the same two strings to the 5th fret position, 3rd fret position, and back up to the 5th and 7th fret positions. No tabs, but hopefully you can work it out. Good luck!
This was my absolute favorite Warlord line up. I first bougth "...And The Cannons Of Destruction Have Begun" back in 1985 just because it was on Metal Blade records, and I'm glad I did. I was completely floored by all the songs. Many didn't like Damien King II (Rick Cunningham), but I thought in my humble opinion the sound of his voice was a huge part of the songs. Definitely my all time favorite album.
I am a fan of Warlord since 1987 that I listened on the radio one of their songs, and finally at 1989 I managed to get the LP collections of 1986. Never got the DVD that has the songs that is featured here. Watching this video now, I realize it is a film, that was then placed upon the (separately recorded) music. I mean , it is obvious that at 3:55 , and for 5 secs, the singer would not be able in real life to move so much , up and down, and his voice not having any effect. In reality, when the recording of the vocals was happening for the DVD/LP , I am sure the singer was standing still, inside the audio room, and sing with attention and focus. Of course here they wanted to move as much as possible and provide a theatrical effect.
As I know, a drummer ( Mark Zonder ) is a drummer to a band Fates Warning. Bill Tsamis ( guitarist ) is a proffesor at a college in Florida.. We do comunicate with each other.. About the rest members of the band I don't know much.. And about taramis band I haven't heard at all
This is real, epic power metal. I remember first seeing this video in 1985 on an underground show. I then located this LP & bought it. I always liked the vocals of Damien King II. What a dramatic show man!! I was happy when they released this on DVD some time back with the Deliver Us release. I bought it in a heartbeat.
first heard them ´95 in Greece. Epic metal always finds its way to greece, it took me 10-15 years to find out that Bill Tsamis was of greek descent himself, and then they additionally replaced their vocalist with a greek Cypriot singer...
Yeh, Warlord is great band. And talking to Bill Tsamis (guitar player of this band, author and composer of those songs) makes it hard for me to face and believe how and why this band was so underrated at those times.. Warlord was much great then a huge number of glammers hanging on MTV those years
Also, it's a shame that they never played any live shows. Bill Tsamis (guitarist) you can tell was such a perfectionist that it prevented that. It was quite brilliant though to release a whole video soundtrack of them playing along to the studio recordings to show people what to expect when they started playing live. Unfortunately that day never happened.
for me that was the classic warlord lineup and i never understood, why rick cunningham (damien king II) is so underrated - he did really a great job with the others and was and is the only true and perfect warlord singer!!!
I've always said Rick Cunningham was my absolute favorite vocalist. So many criticized his ability to keep a note. But to me, I go by how a vocalist sounds. His voice matched Warlord's songs. Case in point, when Warlord recorded Rising From Out The Ashes with the Hammerfall singer, I didn't care for it. Damien King II was the best.
Yngwie Malmsteen cited Warlord as his favorite band during an interview with Music Connection magazine in the early '80s Look up "Warlord band" on wiki.
@pipealvarez88 I need to get this DVD in my colection, I would pay anything for it, been waiting for this music for about 25years, I heard this band when I was a teenager, god bless the internet!!!!
actually, to the best of my knowledge, Mark Zonder left Fates Warning back in 2005. He's in a band called "Slavior" right now. Their pretty decent, but i think they need a new name, haha.
no bill dident have an accident they just simple stoped play anymore cause rick (damien king 2) have health problems so they coudent find another singer and eventualy tehy stoped...one more reason is that disc companys dident gime them the respec they deserve :)))

I think they are the most underrated metal band ever.. they should be huge, but not many people know about them..
Mark Zonder is one of the best drummers ever.
WARLORD ROCKED THE 80'S NO DOUBT UNDER RATED-STILL AN UNDERGROUND METAL FAVORITE.

Great band that should have been huge.

By the way W. Tsamis also had a band after Warlord broke up. It's name is LORDIAN GUARD, and the singer is his wife!!!
