He has always had echolalia …but his speech was never purposeful. He would never answer a direct question…only repeat what he heard. Now, he is starting to have purposeful and intentional communication. When I asked him what he wanted to drink he said “I need coffee”…which is amazing!!! And an appropriate response for the question asked. He is doing awesome!

ALWAYS BUY TWO SO YOU ALWAYS HAVE ONE IN THE PANTRY, OR CUPBOARD. WHEN YOU START THE SECOND ONE BUY TWO MORE. WHEN I SEE I AM DOWN TO 3-4 TOILET PAPER ROLLS I GET ANOTHER ONE. I NEVER LET IT GET TO 0.

Usually only if he’s sick and struggling to eat. On a typical day he eats what everyone else does! He’s doing amazing!
