yoooo 💀💀💀 @ your comment but everything that has anything to do with him straight up crumbles and tragedy strikes

🤣🤣🤣
I agree. Just sad!!!
😂😂😂😂
there will never be another R&B era like the 90s early 2000s. NEVER!
Right

Nope. Cuz you already know WHo is gonna jump on the track.
True to that

Mental illnesses are so real and I really wish our community took it more seriously. ❤
I feel like now we are cause we’re bringing light to it but we still have long ways to go. I wish it was sooner
People say that ALL of the time. I think its safe to say that america is into mental health for the last 10yrs or so. The rhetoric of " black people dont take mental health serious" is old and untrue now
That's true. Black people really denied that Lark Voorhies had some Schizophrenia or anything at all. It's good the truth has come out and people are are dealing with her condition naturally.
@@cjzanders5430 who denied she had schizophrenia? Maybe a few but the entire black community did not deny that she had schizophrenia or any other mental disorder. Most people and not just black people were so taken aback by her appearance. Many people did not reject her mental capabilities. The public just found out about it a couple of yrs ago.
@@ertfgghhhh - Yes, I noticed that black people (especially black women) denied she had any mental illness. I’d say in 2016 and 2017 they said she was perfectly fine. This was more than a couple of years ago. Some took Larks mother’s word that she only had Bipolar disorder, but it was clear Lark wasn’t speaking coherently and that it was more than BPD. To be honest, she didn’t get a clinical diagnosis of SCHIZOPHRENIA until less than a year ago.

Singer Houston’s story was sad.
Such a handsome and talented young man. Hope he’s better
What happened to him???
@@problematic_fav listen to the video
problem fav he took his own eye out with an eating utensil
Very...I watched a documentary of him on another channel on YT and was devastated I didn't know any of that. Wish him well 💚
Bad boy records (Diddy) has alot of dead music careers to answer for.
Cheri Dennis
P. Diddy is a devil himself. He drained and exploited black talent and throw them away when their fame faded
Diddy is a business ass hole. He puts people on and if it doesn’t sell enough he drops them and crushed their dreams
For real
Yes!
Diddy's ruined a lot of people's careers with his greed and ego.
I heard Diddy signs his contracts with a flaming pen...
I heard Diddy leaves a room by turning into a flock of bats.
Does Diddy have a reflection?
Did you know Michael Jackson loved Lil Kim and really wanted to do a record with her, but jealous ass Diddy forbade her from doing so because she wouldve gotten too big for his liking? 🙃
For not accepting sexual violations
You don't play "The Game" wit Diddy you get iced out
It truly seems as if Diddy just want the $$$$. He's kinda shadey from all I've heard/seen. Ppl who sign to Bad Boy, need to truly watch out for everything of their's..!!
Have y'all noticed that any person around or worked with Diddy tragedy strikes or failures with record sales and careers? 🤔🧐
Sounds about right
That’s cause diddy is only looking for hot hits. He is not looking for long term talent if you’ve noticed.
@@bariatasudan on the surface yes but i have a feeling there's something more to this, something sinister.

He doesn’t know about longest and he’s a stingy man and a snake.

He needs to be on serious meds.
I do too, and ain't no telling what evil shit he saw being in "the industry"
Right Houston story IS SAd🙏🏾
Its heartbreaking
🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾
I am a mental health therapist. It sounds like Houston struggles from psychosis. Mental health is real and people do struggle. It’s ok to get help🙏🏾
Why do ppl always say"mental health is real"??? Whoever said it was fake??
Psychosis brought on by trauma
@@gooodies4u1 Nope @6:32 😯 y'all better wake up!
@@gardencity316 stigma of mental health, taboo topic and depending on where the person lives the lack of resources. Sometimes all therapy is not equal but I always say some therapy is better than no therapy.
@Mariah&WhitneyLamb I did not diagnose. I said it SOUNDS. I did not give a definitive diagnosis, I did not say he for sure has psychosis but it does SEEM like he struggles with hallucinations. I know my information! I am saying From what was given in this short clip. I said it Sounds not that he is definitely diagnosed. He will have to get a full psychological test. Either way there is something mentally off base with his presented behaviors in this video. Now you have a great day!
That Glen Lewis “Don’t You Forget” will always hit. That’s still the jam!

What song is it from
Brings me back to simpler time
Carl Thomas can actually sing. He holds back. The industry did him wrong.
Carl Thomas Emotional album is still in my current rotation. I had the privilege of seeing him live in a small set in Birmingham and he sounds just as good live as in the studio.
I was singing his song emotional like I was in the video. We need to bring back dramatic RnB music videos. Wind, rain, all white outfits, arms spread out while singing to the sky, all of that.
That HAS to be a huge blessing chile.
@Lauri London true! I was feeling nostalgic ☺. It's still a mood tho.
Shout out to the channel for doing this for the culture!

That Summer Rain by Carl Thomas is still one of my favorites!

Mario's portfolio is highly impressive. Not going to even lie!
Yes exactly, he may not be a mainstream singer but he still writes songs and produces to this day! I agree with you, it's highly impressive.
@@SweetTea742 Right? Also he could have just relaxed and done other things but instead he kept on pushing with what he loves. Really great to see 😎

He is the son of Vicki winans from a previous marriage. Therefore technically he is related through marriage.
Well I strongly respect your honesty!
This isn’t 2000s but I would like to know what happened to the 90s black girl group Jade 👀 they were one of the few groups where all members sung equally. They could’ve been very successful but they disappeared after releasing their 2nd album
I know one of the members is or was a real estate agent. I think they all work 9-5 jobs now.

Ain't that some Real shit🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣💯
"I Like That" is still a classic, til this day. I think Houston couldn't deal with how the industry was as he was coming from a church family. We all should be aware of how the industry gets down.
Yeah,he just wasn't cut out for that toxic environment.
Prayers for him 🙏
Or it might be genetic, the industry just exacerbated it.

Do not sleep on Mario Winans. He literally comes from a musical background.
Can we all agree that the early 2000s was the best decade for R&B music? Rich voices, no Auto-Tune, and not a single track with skip on your favorite R&B album? I miss those years?

@@Mama.973 I’m happy you all agree! Lol.
Ideas: Dame 4 (the girl group with Mila J), ISIS (Day n night song), JS (ice cream song), Blaque (Bring it on), Dream (pop girl group signed by Diddy🤔) Oh and Floetry!....just to name a few. The early 2000s were full of girl groups that disappeared!
Cherish!
Yess!
Oh yes Floetry. They were very soulful. Got me here singing *It's Floetic*
I forgot about JS!!!
Js? Well one of the girls in the group. Is with Ronald isley have been for years. They also have a little boy together. They started dated shortly after js (the group) decided to separate. They are still together.
Mario Winans "I Don't Wanna Know" actually samples Enya's "Boadicea"
I wanted to type this earlier. They paid a hefty fee to legally sample it as well.
@@SweetTea742 Because Diddy didn’t clear sampling Sting and the Police’s record Every Breathe You Take for I’ll Be Missing You. Diddy gets no royalties for that song and won’t until 2053.
@@Aurora0510 Thanks for the information! I didn't know! I find it crazy that in the 90's, he just slapped the sample on the song... It wasn't like it was the 1930's or anything.
@@SweetTea742 And as much sampling as he did with Mary J’s album My Life, how could he not know to clear the sample with the artist. Cuz had he cleared the sample, Diddy would only have had to pay 25%, now Sting gets 100%. Sting don’t play about his money. See Juice World’s song Lucid Dreams which samples Shape of My Heart. Sting gets 90% of the royalties from that song.
@@Aurora0510 Wow! You know a lot :) Sting is very right indeed to get all his money. It is his property. Diddy is a businessman, I wonder if somehow he tied those sampled song "royalties" into the artist, so, the artist is the one that would lose not Diddy or Bad Boy.
black men really were part of the blueprint for r&b soul and it's so sad how they don't last long
Ahhh I watch your channel you speak facts every time
These were the days when men respected women and it showed in their music. Now they degrade us smh. I miss the old days.

Houston kinda favor fetty wap with that missing eye. Scary, the music industry is really wicked
One eye one the back of the dollar bill, the all seeing eye. The “Illuminati” uses a lot of one eyed symbolism. Hence him cutting out one eye and referencing the demonic music industry.
Yes, I’m an 80’s baby and I remember all of these men on 106 and Park. 💛

R&B was never the same since AALIYAH died in 2001😢💔
Oh please. Ppl give her so much props cus she died early but...... She really wasn't a great singer
@@shayb8203 doesn’t matter if she wasn’t a great singer... Aaliyah was still a great force who still had so much to offer

@SimplyBri Girl Please 🙄. She WAS all that and a bag of chips! 💃🏽✨She was regal, innovative(style/sound), mysterious, and 1000x more cultured/articulate than your fave. More importantly, she had a rare beauty that men still drool over to this day. Stop hating.👌🏽✨

Yup!! Him and chingy came to my high school. I went to Washington lol
Regarding Houston. I have no doubt that "the industry" can be an evil place however. I think people minimize how serious mental illness is when they place it all "Hollywood and the music industry". I have a cousin who filmed a movie that came out 3 years ago and was nominated for all types of rewards and was flown everywhere to promote the film and now she is diagnosed as paranoid schizophrenia and her family is trying to blame it all on the industry but if we are being honest the symptoms manifested at least 6 years ago.
I think it's the brain of an artist. People who are artistic tend to suffer more from mental health issues than most.
@@heyitsnoreen I think it is very accurate to say that. They lose themselves in their artistry sometimss.
@@heyitsnoreen I suffer with depression and social anxiety, but I love anything concerning art. You might be on to something.😬
@@Seoulsister5 Same for me. I love anything to do with art and I suffer a lot from mental illness from a young age. Most of the people I know that are into art are the same way.
