How do you workout in a fasted state if you consume protein in the first 30 minutes of waking up? Wont eating 30 minutes after waking up break your fast? If so, when is it possible to cardio while fasting while taking EAA’s? Thanks for the interview Thomas. But clarification on this would be very helpful😊

I’m just pushing the first intake of any calories to later in the day and then starting the protocol. Is there any reason to have to do it “ upon waking “? Thanks for any advice and for these interviews.

What is not mentioned in a lot of videos like this is many of the people in them are just genetically thinner. Most probably never had a problem with weight. Or if they do gain weight they just genetically take it off easier too.

    • @Rev3rence
      @Rev3rence 14 днів тому +1

And that has to do with the topic at hand what?
Also "thin" people are basically people with less fat cells, they might aesthetically look better for longer, but boy oh boy if they don't eat well how their visceral and liver fat gonna spike..
Or are you trying to claim it is inherently easier or harder for some to lose weight? Because this is probably 90%+ related to how long a person had a shitty life style and how poor their metabolism got, rather than any genetic predisposition...

I am insulin resistant and prefer to work out in the morning shortly after waking in a fasted state, and generally continue to fast until the afternoon. (I do have heavy cream in my coffee) I was plateauing for the longest time, and lately have slid back by snacking late at night and consequently gained back 15lbs of the 40 lbs that I initially lost. I can’t imagine eating 30 grams of protein so early in the day, and especially before working out. (I generally swim 2,000 yards 3 times a week, and intermittent fasting Monday through Friday)

I do just fine doing very little of this. I don’t workout in the morning, I’ll have some coffee to start the day, probably 2 hours after waking I’ll take the dog on a long walk, take a little protein before a resistance training session in the evening, get my protein and the rest of it afterwards.
I think if you’re just trying to be consistent then this plan could help some people. I don’t think you need to do everything within some window of waking up - I think it’s good to do it well before bedtime though, about it.
To be perfectly honest, there are days when the maintenance from previous workouts is more of a priority - flexibility work, flossing, etc. Going straight into the day’s workout without some of that is just begging for injury or decreased performance.

I agree that the most important thing is finding what works for you. A "formula" (such as 30/30/30) might be just what it takes for some people, but I've always had my energy burst in the late afternoons/evenings so that's when I work out. Over the past few months I've gotten into the habit of walking in the evenings after dinner/before bed and it's been a nice addition but I'm not sure it's helping me lose weight. I'm still trying to lose the last bit of belly fat after successfully losing about 20 lbs. of menopausal weight gain through more resistance training and increasing protein in my diet.

I would throw up if I ate 30 grams of protein and immediately worked out.
Best workouts I’ve ever had, I ate carbs before , protein after to rebuild the damage .
Seems like your suggestion would lead to indigestion because you are asking the body to break down this protein while you are demanding things from muscles . That’s eating 5 whole eggs then immediately trying to kill it in the gym . Your body doesn’t want to eat and train at the same time for a reason . Ancestors didn’t eat while hunting . They exercised (hunted ) then ate later after prepping the animal . If produce , they had to harvest first so same principle .

However, just like people who do gardening, yard work , housework, etc - you don’t really “use all your muscles” in the same manner as resistance training, nor gain flexibility and function necessarily. There’s a reason you need to actually do the work to build and maintain muscle, as well as stretch and do mobility work to gain flexibility and function in your joints.

      1. medical doctors/pharmaceutical industry. Brecka's videos talk about solving problems yourself, getting your own tests and using natural methods to improve your health. He doesn't discuss going to the doctor or taking drugs.
      2. His background is human biology. He tries to give an explanation for everything even stuff to do with physics and chemistry and occasionally makes errors in the explanation. Hes spot on though with discussing real-life data, research and what works/doesn't work.
      3. He suggests things like walking barefoot, being bare-chested and doing yoga. A lot of people dislike being told to do that kind of thing.
      4. He does sell things on his website like red-light therapy beds that cost $$$s. But in his defense he will say how to achieve basic things for free.
