Good demo! With good examples, and comparably high-quality popular Bach horns. The side-by-side demo is awesome, but, the lack of editorial is absolutely perfect. Let the sound be your guide. Great job - Thanks. PS: I play on a 43LT from the 80's with a tunnable bell and swap between the 43 (legit) and a 229 bell (lead). But for me the 50yr 37 is awesome, and I’d buy it and manage the tone darkness through my mouthpiece selections. The problem with the 43 is you will have a hard time getting it to sound like a 37 but you can get 37 to sound like the 43, especially with a swappable bell setup.
150th Anniversary with a 37 bell compared to a 43 bell. Interesting. Wonder which I would prefer? Probably the 190 37. But I haven't had the chance to play them. I do love my B&S Challenger II 3137/2 S (regular leadpipe). I am so happy with its ability to achieve my dream sound in real life. Would be great to compare the 3 makes/models (and some other serious ones) over a 3 month period, but alas... I am not made of money, thus cannot afford to purchase all of them and make a fair comparison.
Two years ago, I bought a Bach Stradivarius LR180S37. I've been playing trumpet since 1953, so I've owned and played a lot of them. I was warned that Bach quit making decent trumpets after the 2006 strike. It is true. Valves stick, no one can solve that problem, and the silver plating began to pit within the first few months. So, if you want to have a Bach, get one circa 1977-2002.
obviously, an excellent trumpeter. the difference can be heard in the fanfare towards end of video. 37 has the better tone. a larger room would demo this more clearly. no mention of mouthpiece, but surmise it is a 1.25c or 1.5c. myself, I am better able to discern between horns if I use a Bach 2C (a very large mp) and play a slow legato piece ranging from bottom G to high C.
I've owned two of them. The first was stuffy, and so I sold it. Two years later I gave another one a try. It's not stuffy at all, and I thoroughly enjoy playing it. I don't know why the first one was and the second one not, but the difference is night and day.
Love your sound ! Encouraged with build quality here . Easy to start hard to maintain ! Thompson Music is my idea of paradise !
Finally someone demo ing a horn properly......side by side and classical excepts!
37 more overtones the sound is wide.43 The sound is brighter.both are good.
trumpets cannot produce overtones. they produce harmonics.
What i learned from watching trumpet videos: talking at volume 2, playing is at volume 10. Ya gotta be ready.
They are both gorgeous
Both are awesome trumpets. Hope you’re doing well.

So 37 over 43?
@@JimmyA78 it is your choice. I am only offering my observations. But if I had a choice, I would keep them both:)
Useful thanks
Beautiful Bach Sound
I have a 43 I’m a jazz guy so I prefer the 43 for my tastes. But I would be just as happy with the 37
Thank you for comparing these two, I’ve been wondering which of the two to purchase

The 50th Anniversary is built old school
There are so many other brands that make very similar horns.
Thank you so much for the examples!!!
It would be helpful to know what mouthpiece you used in this comparison.
me interesa saber el precio de la trompeta bach 19037 stradiuvarius, dignese consignar un múmero de telefono o cualquier otro medio de comunicación.

only on the last bit did the 43 sound brighter to me
In your opinion, what are the different playing characteristics of the two models, and what type of playing are the two models best suited for?
Preciosas trompetas pero podrían publicar los precios???
Why not use two silver horns or two lacquer horns? That would have been a better side by side sound test.
I cannot tell the difference in sound of the 37 and 43
Hi, great test! In your experience, how consistent are the horns of this model? In other words, are they all very similar? Thank you.
very helpful !
I might get that horn
If tromped is for sale how are they're.
that's the way it's supposed to be done if comparing...thank you. I could hear differences so your basement acoustics couldn't be that bad.
But what’s the actual physical difference between the 37 & 43?
The taper on the horn at the end not the width of the bell, but the round part before the bell, the 43 is wider, and the 37 is thinner
Excellent…
Lindos instrumentos.pena que aqui no Brasil custa uma fortuna
Qué precio tiene la trompeta alguien m pueda avisar pliss
I own the 37 in silver. The horn plays stuffy. Nothing like my Mt Vernon did.I’m disappointed

@@gradyfan2068 valves?
@@paulgrimm You may be on to something there. The valves on the stuffy one occasionally gave me fits.
Algún ☎️ y que costo tiene $?
I think there both over 4 grand each
The 37 does not sound as clear as the 43.
Гарні інструменти, але кожен виконавець шукає свою трубу (як жінку).🙏🤷♂️
My New 37 doesn’t sound that good
You Sound like yourself on both Horns. That’s what Counts Most..... all the Rest is bussiness...
