Been watching your channel for quite a few months now and I can really see an improvement in your latest photos with the D850 and now with the 9fps. That shot at 4:12 is amazing! Keep up the great work, you're going to be one of the top youtube photographers one day.

Hey Mark Chad commenting here just wanted to say, man I wish I could afford that d850 but I'm saving for a d500 and I'll use my d7200 as my secondary body and just wanted to say you are now my favorite photographer, thanks for being so awesome, Chad.

You are a great storyteller and I get to learn so much about not just the camera. It’s very helpful. I like it when you mention in audio the settings so I don’t HAVE to pause and squint at tiny lettering of data info. Anyway to make that font easier to read? Your passion is spot on, though, and much appreciated!

Just incredible, you really know how to capture great shots. Most important is not the gear, I'm sure you would be as successful with Canon, Panasonic or Sony stuff. But having such a great location that offers so many many photo opportunities with birds is just invaluable. All these pictures in one day? Marvelous.

I've had the D500 and 200-500 for just over a year now and love this combo. I've been on the fence thinking about trading in or selling the D500 and picking up the D850. But the more I think about it it would be nice to have two bodies for when I'm shooting football. Have the 70-200 on the D500 and a 24-70 on the D850 for the red zone. Bonus and tax returns are coming soon. ;)

I am always amazed at the images you capture. I especially like the ones that show activity in motion. I like portraits too. But, capturing an animal in motion allows you to see their life in ways that pass to quickly for humans to appreciate. I recently bought a D850, used at a wildlife sanctuary in New Mexico where is very difficult to get close the birds. I did find out how impressive the images can be. I may put the GRIP on my wish list. Thanks for sharing.

Beautiful shots Mark, the high fps definitely helps! I wish I had some of those birds in my area, but I do see osprey, great blue heron and kingfisher! One fact I noticed about the osprey in your shots and mine they always carry their fish head first, more aerodynamic I assume.

I just got a D850 and used it in the Everglades and Merritt Island. I was learning as I went. Unfortunately the grip is on backorder so I didn't have the 9fps. Even without it I got some amazing pictures and what I discovered when I got home was that I could crop without loss of sharpness as compared to my D4. I learned as I went and the more that I learned the more I fell in love with it.

  • @adamaj74

Loving your videos! I've been binge-watching them, haha. Great sense of humor and great Bob Ross shirt! I just bought a D500. I also have a D800 which is in great condition and still going strong. I'm finding out that the D500 is probably going to take over macro and wildlife photography for me. I found that to get the same zoom level as the D500 I have to crop my D800 images to about 14-16 megapixels. The D850 would solve the problem with its 45 megapixels, making a cropped image of 23+ megapixels, compared to the D500's 21 megapixels. Still very close though, and I can't afford to upgrade to the D850 right now anyway, lol. Again, great videos, keep them coming! :)

Does shooting two extra frames a second make that much of a difference? I want a grip, but don't want to spend the $1,000+ to get one just for two frames. It's part of the reason I don't get a mirrorless, aside from the fact the D850 is so awesome. I just don't need 30 frames a second of anything. Excellent video by the way, and most excellent shots. So clear. Tack sharp clear.

Razor sharp pictures, i have a question why u use beyond f5.6 and in most of the pictures u used exposure bias in negative values. Kindly explain. Thanks

Thanks. I shoot in AF-C and use matrix metering 90% of the time. For focus points I bounce between D25, D9 and Single Point.
