@@WootDini even a RX6600 at 8x Gen3 will drop some serious frames on certain games like Doom Eternal. Always go 5600/5600x vs 5600G if you plan to run any modern gpu in the near future.
I just bought a used $80 5600G for my Dad so he wouldn’t need to bother with a dedicated gpu. The cost difference is too little to bother with a 5600G or 5500. Just go 5600/5600x for double the cache and gen4 support if you game.
I have 9 fully built AM4 systems. The garage is the only pc with a 5600G which is paired up with a $80 GTX1080. The rest is 5600,5600x,5800x,5900x.

In my country it's currently X 100%, 5600 81.4%, G 76.4%. I'm aiming at 5600 as it probably runs at lower voltage and lower temperature (I guess?). BTW, this is my first time watching your video. Very brief yet informative. Will definitely check out your other videos. Keep it up!

Do keep in mind the 5600G has half the amount of cache of a 5600/X and that can really limit performance a lot in CPU bound scenarios (up to 50%)

@@gureguru4694 yeah personally I bought the 5500 because I was able to snag an RX 6600 for £220 directly off Amazon like 3 months ago and the i3-12100f was at £130 (+ B660 for £150) so I went with the R5 5500 because it was all I could afford (£800 limit for my whole setup) so I went with the 5500 + B550 Mobo for £100+£80 which was about £100 cheaper than the 12100f. Plus, the AMD SmartAccess Memory raises the perf of my pc even more. I would have gotten the 5600 but it was £180 at the time which was out of my £800 for the setup budget

CPUs are not made equal in the same batch, the 5600X are probably the individual CPUs that could easily take the overclock even with stock cooler and are stable.

In what world does the X give a better gaming proformance?
Unless you wish to use a 7950 xtx, and run the games at 1080p at 250-1000+ fps i dont see any reason to spend more on the X version. (but i dont see many people running a 5600x with a 7950 xtx, and play in 1080p) You will get between 0-2 fps more, thats all, so if thats what you mean with a better gaming proformance, then sure!?!? -I just call it a wast of money better spend elsewhere.

5600X/5600 = PCIE 4.0, Support ECC out of the box, Can do Bifurcation up to 4x4x4x4.
5600G = PCIE 3.0, NO support for ECC, Can do max Bifurcation of 8x/4x/4x ( no 4x4x4x4 support)...
Note: If you want ECC on a G series, you need a G "Pro" version. Harder to find, cost more.
So lots more differences then just listed here! 5600G is also slightly more power efficient.

    • @WootDini
      @WootDini  2 місяці тому

      Heya
Good comment. I think I did follow up on the miss of PCIe gen.
While the rest are valid, most users don't know what bifurcation is or how to use it. It's a really technical requirement for lane usage, but you are correct.
Ecc is not even something I looked into because ecc is such a small use case really reserved for xeon and TR if we looking at general consumer level.
Appreciate the comment again and for interacting on the channel 😊

.. Probably should've went into more detail about why there's less cache on the 5600G and how it doesn't support PCIE 4.0. Also it would be nice to see benchmark and testing which would better explain why the X is priced higher and if it's worth the extra 40 dollars over the 5600. Which it usually isn't.

Yea always details one can miss. In the future when I'm as big (hopefully) as a top rated tuber I'll be able to dive into more detail and test every facet. Time is just always against me as well as budget.
On the PCIe 100% I did forget to mention that but I did comment to correct.

my ryzen 5 5600g scored 11270 in Multicore and 1548 in single core. With knowledge in overclocking, undervolting, and curving. I don't see any reason for me to buy 5600x. I actually have better card now thanks to my patience rather than jumping to the highest end cpu's in the market. My rig is running in 5600g for a year but my patience is worth it i owned 6800 XT. If you are old in computer market it has been known by people who knew tech that you are supposed to buy middle range rig with greater benefit. Sooner or later, another faster cpu or gpu will come and your extra spending did not last that long.
