Finally I c an honest review on this car … Thank you very much!! Sadly they discontinued the model and they will no longer bring it to the States I think this car was undervalued for what it was in a way it is a bit fun and as I mentioned before if you take the Muffler off you are in a very good surprise.. Also if you want more power there’s places that sell tuning chips for them .. Thank you again for a great review!!
Cool thanks for the great review. I’ve rented the 500 several times and love the city drive. I just needed something a little bigger. I think this will be my new car. Yay!
good video.. i have to totally disagree with you on field of vision.. you have 8 windows wrap around and two huge windows on roof thats panoramic. then taking into consideration safety, thats the best field of vision i have ever seen on a car. great for roadtrips and sightseeing and just enjoying a drive on a beautiful day.
@@damilolaakanni they made it option the following year 2015. I believe it became standard in the refresh (like the one in this video) but in 2015 16 17 they had a 6 sp manual , euro twin clutch automatic and the Asian 6 speed (Toyota transmission).
Ironic enough, the Toyota Prius was my first car, then I hopped onto a fiat 500L. Love both cars but I find the 500L to be more engaging, especially with the DCT
Agreed.. unfortunately most Americans don’t want anything quirky or interesting. Just crossovers and trucks . I think if the L was little less tall and not as much weight for the power train .it would have better gas mileage .and might still be sold here
Only the location is old.. Between 2010 and 2012, Fiat Chrysler Automobiles and Government of Serbia invested more than €500 million and spent three years upgrading the plant infrastructure, restored its buildings, developed new production departments and installed state of the art machinery and production systems. And it was done by Italiana Costruzioni, so I don't think it has any relation to yugo.
I'm a hard core long term Toyota guy (currently own a Tacoma and a tundra) had a hilux and a scion over the last 25 years. But I really wants a 500L
The shelf in the trunk makes sense if you flip the back seats flat. The shelf lines up to the flattened back seats to give you one flat surface.

I'm actually considering buying one of these. Thanks for the review on it.

This 6 speed is a Toyota transmission so none of the Scotty kiss asses can talk mess.
I thought it was a dual clutch automatic. Or did they switch to the Toyota transmission at some point?

The abarth 500 has the 1.4 Tjet, not the multiar, but the 124 spider uses the multiar unit like this 500L
In North America, the 500 Abarth uses the 1.4 multiair
A shame that people raged against the L and raved for the X

Fun fact, fiat now use old zastava factory to produce 500l, so 500l and yugo share the same city and factory wich is Kragujevac, Serbia

I’d rather drive a yugo
Drive the MANUAL!
