What a coincidence! I just bought one yesterday! Here are my own steps.
What I did first was to adjust the main rack and fixed it so I don't have to fiddle with tightening it when it is already mounted.
2nd thing I did was to attach the 2 middle legs first. I made sure that they are not yet tightened so I can swing them. Use the 2 rubber patches to prevent scuffing of the seatpost and also so it won't slip. Again, not to tighten this yet seatpost.
3rd thing I did was attach the two sidings but these 2 need to be tightly attached.
4th - Attach the main body now to the seatpost. Not too tight yet as we may need to adjust the height later.
5th is not to attach the 2 foot assy to the 2 middle straight legs as in 1:30 min. I attached them loosely(not tight) to the bottom of the triangle.
6th, once the 2 "shoes"or clamps are attached to the lower part of the bike, time to slide them into the upper straight arms. You may have to adjust the height of the assy from the seatpost (this is why you have them loose on both the seatpost and the middle legs). Note make sure that on the cogs side, your bolts don't hit the cogs or chain if it is shifting to low gear, so position that lower part correctly.
7th - tighten all the bolts/nuts first with the seatpost, then the straight legs bolt, then then the lower parts. Make sure all rack is as level as can be. And make sure all bolts, nuts, etc are all tight.
8th - attach the reflector or put there your own active ligh if you have any.
9th - attach a bungee cord or some elastic cord that can be used later to secure your cargo.
That's it, I was done!
PS - in our country, this rack only cost me U$8.49 on the sidewalk vendors or some all bike shops. At the malls, this might cost U$14-16.
It would literally cost you $0 to not say all of that...

Great job. The bike rack came with no instructions. The video was clear and easy to follow. Only issue I had was the rubber spacers had to be trimmed and were a pain in the butt. This saved me from having to return the bike rack. Thank you.

What's the point of a quick release around the seatpost if you still need tools to mount the side supports? I know there is a model which has QRs there as well.
It doesn't look like a video guide, it looks like a video of someone trying to prove that you can install it under 5 minutes. It would be great if you could take a moment to show more clearly which part you are picking up, to show whether the part should face inwards or outwards, and most importantly, to assemble the parts a bit more slowly and with a better view angle.

What's the use of the rubber pads that was included in the carrier rack?
i believe that’s used if the diameter of your seat post or frame isn’t wide enough the rubber will give it the extra centimeters it needs to fit. Also it may serve as a grip to keep the rack from sliding down the post and frame

Yes，it’s not only for MTB, it also fit for Road Bike or other bikes, it’s depends on your bike seatpost tube and frame size. It fit for Seatpost Tube Diameter Less Than 33mm and Rear Frame Tube Diameter Less Than 25mm.

Yes, fit wheel 29” bike.
I don't like how high that rack is set. That beam should be much closer to, almost touching the top of the tire, in my opinion. The payload portion should be longer, to better fit the beam. There's a lot of wasted space on the beam.

This video was a time saver.. The manual is useless as the pictures are tiny and incomplete.
I dont think this flimsy engineering is trustworthy in carrying any heavy loads..there is too high stress on the nuts and bolts. Using brackets for fixing on the frame is stupid idea.
