You're right with delicious Gorgonzola. Yes, it may look disgusting at first sight but once you taste it you'll get addicted to it for the rest of your life. It's perfect also for sandwiches!
It's impossible to pick one Italian food as my favourite. If all goes to plan I will be living in Rome from early September- right before Christmas this year. I will definitely get one of your guides.
All the food looked incredibly delicious (but for a couple of the cheeses), was going to take a fork to the screen. The scenery was also very beautiful.
Awesome video. I love Italian food. I start to use a lot of olive oil. Eat burrata cheese, rocket & basil leaves, aperitivo,… though I still avoid pasta, pizza, gelato,…
A few fast corrections. Lasagne is not from Naples, it's from Bologna. Risotto it's from the north in general not specifically Lombardia. There are a lot of kinds of pizza not just Romana and Napoletana though the origin is Napoli. Interesting video anyway :)
From what I understand, the word pizza comes from the Greek word, pita. The modern pizza involved Italian people putting ingredients on flatbread, including tomatoes from the New World. The Neapolitans popularized a style of pizza in the early 1800s. After Queen Margarita came to Naples, as mentioned in the video, then pizza was spread around the world by Italian immigrants.
I had pasta nera (black pasta - squid ink) for the first time last weekend! It was amazing and not at all what I expected. Have you ever tried squid ink pasta?

@@AnnaGoldmanTravel Very nice Anna, I am writing to you in Italian because I see that you are starting to understand it a little bit and for the rest you can help yourself with the google translator. I'm an old Italian, very proud of it and I'm considered very knowledgeable about wine and of course especially Italian. In such a small space I cannot write much but talking about wine in Italy you must know that it is a very difficult subject to deal with and in any case it will bring you various criticisms from supporters of wines from different regions, so listen to some advice: choose (or get recommend) 6 reds, 6 whites and 6 particular wines that have very particular combinations. Italy can boast over 400 wines with Protected Designation of Origin, 73 of which are DOCG, and 118 wines with Typical Geographical Indication therefore, in addition to the wines you will choose, all the others will feel unfairly little considered. Regarding the 6 particular wines (on wikipedia you can find explanations for each of these) I suggest these: Lambrusco, Malvasia, Marsala, Moscato, Vin Santo and Zibibbo I congratulate you for your videos on Italy that I find nice and well done.
