I tried to complete this stage in a week, today I completed it in 1:58.300 🎉🎉🎉 Try setting Traction Control to 2 and the sensitivity of the left stick in the settings to maximum - it helped me. High sensitivity will help you navigate chicanes and small corners. Don't be afraid to push the left stick all the way out to the sides. I hope this helps you too. Good luck! And don't give up.
Is it alright to play on manual with shifters? I'm within .024 but can't quite get there. I feel faster and more in control when on manual but can't quite get there. Soon!!
If anything, it’s probably to your advantage, so keep going and you’ll get there, maybe shift up another gear on the final corner so you the car will pull out of the corner

3 hours session and I'm still .3 seconds off gold
Use my slow mo and maybe you’ll find that .3 sounds like you are over braking and/or not getting the accelerator down quick enough
Trail breaking is the key to get the corners quick
Use your ghost,that's helps me .shows where I am slow and where I am fast
