What a great song. I was 11 when this album came out and I was super into punk, ska, reggae, grunge, alternative and nu-metal stuff. Loved all the secular music of the time, but besides DC Talk it wasn't easy finding Christian bands I could get into. I remember waking up super early one morning before school and I can't remember what channel was on the TV, but it was playing Christian alternative music exclusively. Bunch of skateboarding, BMX and snowboarding clips in between music videos. I heard this song and instantly put the album on my Christmas list. It was so cool hearing basically a Christian version of a mix between Limp Bizkit, 311 and blink-182. As much as I still love those bands to this day, they definitely are not uplifting or tend to your soul in any way 😅 always nice to hear a song like this pop up on my playlist in between all the sad, angry secular music, to make sure I remind myself that Jesus is King and God is great. I asked my aunt for the album Soundsystem by 311 for christmas and I got this instead. I wasn't entirely disappointed definitely some fun stuff on the album.
I was at the Album release Party for this album outside tulsa, ok in a small town church. Got the CD when you showed the Ticket. Probably one of the best concerts. Next concert my daughter wanted to go but she was in the hospital. My son told the band and you all gave us all the gear signed. She was so happy when we went to hospital after the concert. Such amazing group of men. Godly.

They are not there to force anything upon anyone, but to share with those willing to listen. Christianity, in particular, preaches understanding and acceptance. They are taught to always respect others, even if they do not see eye to eye.

But this "symbol" is several things. One it's for the Texas Longhorns a sports team. It's an opinion, but one that I may firmly believe in. You don't have to change which restaurant you attend just because I said I prefer one more, but I'm always allowed to express that opinion. We express these opinions because we find comfort in them, and wish others to share that exact feeling we do.

It's a matter of knowing to turn to the resoucres God has given you, namely the tool that is prayer and the being that is the Holy Spirit.I don't see myself complacent- I see myself as understanding who I am and what I am in Christ, as well as in flesh and knowing the difference and what it means is really what matters.
