How often do we hear of courts throwing cases out for "lack of standing", meaning: This issue does not affect you; you do not, as the saying goes, have a dog in this fight; therefore, you do not have grounds to stand on as a plaintiff against the issue. How do you measure actual damages against one party due to the "loan forgiveness" granted to another party? Tossing the case for "lack of standing" is the easy way out of having to deal with a hot issue. Thank goodness the arguments convinced enough of the justices this time.

My oldest dabbled with community college.
My son graduated from community college, moved onto a local 4 year college and insisted on paying his own way.
My youngest graduated with a masters and went to work for a few years, decided she wanted a change and is graduating in Dec with another masters at her expense.

The schools have their money already. When you apply and are approved, the checks are mailed to the schools. I, and my sons, paid all our student loan debts. We borrowed it, we had to pay it back with interest.

The government should stop bailing out big businesses as well. Many businesses, especially smaller businesses have folded; bailouts were not an option for all of them. The government should be more responsible with taxpayers money and focus on reducing spending and balance the budget!
