This is so helpfull , glad I looked at your vid because I need to change my hose and had it on my shopping list for today. , but now I know I will need to see what my old hose hookup is. Thanks much.
Bob, your advice about the coupling came in handy. it cost me $10 more but I picked up a universal kit instead of a standard. now I have a handy quick connect there for next time.
Thank you, I did the split hose with fitter and it actually worked for me, so far no leaks.
Your video has been the most helpful born yet I have this stupid sink where everything comes preinstalled on the Fossett and the stupid sprayer hose adapter. You cannot remove it from the hose whatsoever. So what do I have to do? I have to go buy another plastic hose and I have two stupidly splice them together which I’ve never done before. So now I Gotta go spend more money and I hate the sink right now. I hate Everything about it
Once again thank you Bob you're a good man you give lots of detail and I like the way you give close-ups with good lighting on what you're teaching us to fix great job 5-star rating thank you once again Bob
Thank You Joseph, appreciate it. I get many comments that I take to long to get to my point. Regards, Bob.
@@BobsPlumbingVideos no Bob as you know professional work requires patience discipline obedience oh yes Bob virtues what separates the men from the boys is the attention to details that makes the work and the skill outstanding. For those critics who think you take too long to explain things are simply ignorant of the finer craftsmanship that requires oh yes the principles of virtue God bless you Bob
So there is this threaded piece that comes up from bottom of sink sprayer and a black plastic nut to tighten in place that piece is broke off can I buy just that part ?
Tough question to guess on, can you send me a photo? Send it to - info@robertsessaplumbing.com
I'm glad I watched this video, of course mine is the kind with the coupling nut.
I'm so sorry I'm new at trying to fix my own sprayer. What is the "Teflon" you were referring to?? Is that the same stuff you put on like wax as a sealant from leaking? I replaced my shower head and I had to put some kind of soft wax where the head screwed onto the hose. I'm thinking that's what was meant by Teflon???
Also known as PTFE, Teflon Tape is a brand name. Comes in many different types but for the sake of sealing simple threads, the basic Teflon tape does the job. Here is an oldie but goodie video I did years ago -ua-cam.com/video/4M5Ilp5qtko/v-deo.html. Here is a link where you can get it -amzn.to/3jqmkT9.
I was trying to figure out what was going on under my sink, apparently they tried to fix the coupling issue! But they use cable tiesabd some other arrangement.
Glad I saw this before a repeat of the exploding aerators in my bathroom which left me with weird old plumbing no one had ever seen before and having to start from the shower wall over again!😡
Thank you for the tips!
Can a not needed kitchen spray, be capped off, I can't get to top to take it loose. Also can you splice line going to a faucet.
Depends on the faucet model, send me some photos of yours: info@robertsessaplumbing.com.
Bob i have a leak in the hose just below the spray head. Can i cut it and pull the metal fitting thats around the white tip on the hose of n just shove it into the good part of the hose.
Sounds like all you need to do is get a new spray head. Can you send me a couple of pictures? Send them to info@bobsplumbingvideos.com
Word of wisdom but anew faucet with sprayer problem solved. Likely hood of the kit having what you need is rare
@@BobsPlumbingVideos thanks for replying on an old video. I actually fought with hoses and adapters for an hour today. Finally said the heck with it and went and bought a new faucet and problem solved in 10 mins. Don’t know why they all have to do it differently and don’t believe the universal verbiage on the packaging they are lying to you lol.
I got a hose with the weaver nut on the end and the hose connected to the faucet in s a plastic clip. Guess I’ll have to go back to the store lol.
I have had to cut the hoses and put the barb in. Because the stores do not have a sprayer line that would fit the sink.
you do what you have to to get the job done! Thanks for watching. regards, bob.
I have that quarter inch adapter piece but every time I start tightening to the sink it loosens from the hose
LOL, if you are going back to the store to get that coupling get the right hose, LOL
How to take sprayer hose connection off in a tight space?
They use to make a tool similar to a basin wrench just for sprayer hose connections. Lost mine and. I just use my basin wrench and squeeze it in just break the connection.
i knew this.... couldnt think of it ...had a brain fart...or was i working too close to 420 ....but thanx anyway.....
Thanks!
I wish people would stop with all the " some people did this or that" when it has nothing to do with the repair how he is doing it. Just a huge waste of time. Just get to the point.
Nothing happy about plumbing! 😁
The one I have doesn't look like either one of those...instead there is two plastic square looking thingies that just go round and round.
@@BobsPlumbingVideos the hose near the spray head is broken in two but there is another smaller diameter hose inside and it's just a matter of time before it breaks too.
Look up Moen sprayers on UA-cam which have those plastic connectors where the side tabs have to be *gently* pressed in with a vice grip (don’t press hard enough to break the plastic) and just pull it off while the tabs are in there allowing the connection to “unlock” and slip lose.
good
I have a small leak coming from sprayer under sink how do I figure out if the sprayer or the hose that needs replacing?
The good old fashion way, which is to look up under the sink with a flash or drop light and operate the faucet and spray to see exactly where the problem is!
+BobsPlumbingVideos thanks bob I did that looks like the sprayer may just need replacing because where I put a bowl to catch the drips is looking like it came from the end where hose is attached!! Thanks bunches!
I shoulda called my channel Hack-Handy Mr Howard and put that last part on my channel.
I realize language is your second language, but no way that's a "one-eighth" male connector.
I actually stopped watching your video and looked for another because you were too condescending in your comments. You basically are calling us "stupid" if we did not follow the steps like a professional like you would follow. We are not professionals in this industry but you are. Think about that when you are providing plumbing services.
I watched 25 videos before watching yours and your video by far blowed all the others out of the water !! You immediately hit on my exact needs then showed me a solution instead of talking all the way around it and then the magic happening off camera!! So thank you for the time and headache you saved me!!!
