Hard to tell from image, but instruction manual illustrates that when loading film, insert film leader INTO but NOT through the take-up spool. If the film leader is pushed through the take-up spool so that the film extends out the other side, the camera may begin overlapping frames near the middle of the roll until the end because the take-up spool gets too big, too quickly, pushing back against film so it jumps over teeth of sprocket drive. Also, when loading film, best to set camera to "Manual Adapter" setting with knob set on higher speeds (without Adapter, speed is fixed 1/45th second), or remove lens or lens cap and point towards light so that shutter closes quickly. While the shutter is open, there is nothing to stop the camera from winding, so it is easy to wind too many frames when shutter is open.
Hi I Just bought an olympus om10 and the rewind might be blocked I tried to « unload » it but there is no film, what can I do ? By the way I’m not sure the camera works perfectly well,I have to check it
Hi, it's manual adapter. Without it Om10 is working only in the Aperture-priority Automatic Exposure mode. This adapter makes it possible to set shutter speeds 1 sec. to 1/1000 sec. Without the manual adapter it only works in aperture priority mode
When i try to unroll the film i have too much pressure, the roll broke, i set the rewind mode on the front of the camera, what can be the problem? Thanks
Be sure to turn the rewind knob clockwise ONLY! Follow the arrow on the underside of the rewind lever. Do not turn backwards -- this may damage or tear the film, and/or break the rewind shaft or collar.
if anyone sees this, i was a moron, and realised you need to pull up the reel on the top of the camera, where the manual adapter is and it'll pop open. very silly of me, new to all this.
