Since all the bands I grew up listening to, like Slipknot and SOAD and other bands like that, played in mostly D. So once I heard the Ride the Lightning album I was blown away, then on I kept searching for more bands with that similar sound.
Kirk H. made me want to pick up the guitar. Saw them in ‘99 and instantly fell in love. The very next day, I purchased my first acoustic(teenager budget). The rest is history! 🤘🏼🤘🏼
