He's my fucking hero, I loved Godflesh and then discovered all his work with Jesu, Techno Animal, Curse of the Golden Vampire and it blew my mind, he's unbelievably talented. Met him very briefly after a gig in Scotland, he's a really humble dude, love Justin Broadrick
The people who ask why Godflesh don't have a real drummer are the same people that ask why Death Metal singers sound guttural and why Black metal singers sound shrieky or why Grindcore bands play blastbeats the whole time. BECAUSE IT IS THEIR STYLE!
Though I do love classic drum machine Godflesh... I do think live Drums with Mantia was a great live addition the few times it did happen. I saw them in Los Angeles at the Fonda Theater a ways back and was quite happy the live sound there was thick with reverb in the natural hall. Made it feel very large.
@@truthhurts79 yes, I am aware. I starting listening to them right after Pure came out and quickly myself purchased an SR-16 and did many recordings with it on a Tascam 4 track just making tons of Drum, Guitar, Vox demos because I was so much into Godflesh and the sound of drum machine work with guitars. Just meant to say that I did appreciate the live drums while they tried it.
WHOA. Godflesh? HOLY CRAP. Weird that they don't have a drummer. THIS IS HEAVY METAL, BITCHEZ! Wanna see more bands like this and I wanna see Rompeprop come back. Too many of the OEF bands are cookie cutter. Need more original acts.
I mean.. they deliberately haven't really had a drummer since the early 80's (apart from a few studio sessions). Probably not going to start now, doesnt really fit their sound anyway.
The drummer is inhumanly good
An absolute beast. No wonder people call him Machine.
Yuuup
🤖🥁😈
Right? Dude is a total machine
He used to play in Big Black.
Nice they've got that bass turned up. Love it.
Song name- Post Self
God that bass line is punchy as hell
yessirr

That's not Bass. That's a SEISMIC EVENT. Holy crap!
The crowd is doing a very respectful mosh pit for these legends.
I'm not really into metal but I love this band, Mr Broadrick has to be one of the busiest and most productive musicians around.

Man, he's not really talented... he's a Genius.
Awesome band
An authentic legend
Love the heavy sound that Godflesh has always made!
The drummer looks in great shape
Happy New Year everyone 🎊
Never knew John cena was a drummer

Aguante GODFLESH PAPAAAAAAAÁ ! ! !
That's the thickest bass ive heard in a loooong time
This is one band that is NOT FKN AROUND.
Crazy fact #1: these blokes have been around since 1982!!!
Crazy fact #2: once said to be actually more edgy than Napalm Death 👀
The guitarist is in the side A of Scum
What
I mean Justin is on the first side of Scum... He was a founding member of Napalm death at what, age 16?
The first I knew about these guys was on an old 1980’s Hard-N-Heavy music videocassette! They were heavy as hell then!
What
Bens bass is epic
Whoah its HEAVY!
Dang I wish they'd come to southern California 😁
Same drummer with mortician and sisters of mercy
Wow... This is the best live audio of Godflesh I've actually ever heard....
What song is this?
Post Self (Title Track)
check the video from Brutal Assault, but yeah, this one here slays
Such an inspiration
Hellyeah!
Epic sauce

Seen several time live Sonic blast explosion 😁
Fanf'ntastic!
If you ever have bad constipation , sitting on speaker playing Godflesh will SOON UP BLOCK YOU .

The drum machine is their signature sound

Love the drum machine, but Mantia and Parsons’ contribution to Godflesh are invaluable.
Mantia is great, but the drum machine garantees their unique signature.
Wow
Aguante Godflesh
nice
Holy balls
Zajebisty
Burner 🫶🏽
I have the shirt
But know ø
Drummer is really shy
this is pretty different
Godflesh have been doing this since the 80's.
Этим легко манипулировать.
They wish they were Swans so bad.
I remembered friend of mine calling them the Sonic Youth of death metal
Very transparent drummer. New fad.
Yuk
Soundtrack to the hatred of the world!
Just get a drummer
No. Wouldn't be godflesh with one. It's industrial metal and they've been doing it that way since the 80s
@@kalebritchey5882 idk man Songs Of Love And Hate kinda fuckin rules
no real drummer, not possible sorry
Ещё с далëких 90-х годов задаюсь вопросом : какое отношение эта группа имеет к экстремальной музыке???
WHOA. Godflesh? HOLY CRAP.

The "brutal death metal" bands in the fest normally are boring as fuck
