They recently removed the Practice shells from all British planes, its made hispanos more consistent. Theyre probably my favourite low/mid tier aircraft guns now
personally i think the MB.5 is really fun BECAUSE of the 288s. sure it's still annoying to fight 288s but it's better than others at the tier. it's like a spitfire and a P-51 had a baby out of wedlock

I bought mine and never looked back, I've got a 3:1 k/d ratio with it. I side climb and boom and zoom like crazy and it holds energy very, very well. It's turn rate at high speeds in the vertical is fantastic. I know it isn't for everyone, but I love it.
In Air Sim it is comfortable because the counter rotating probs equalise the torgue of the probs--> less trimming work needs to be done--> more smooth aiming. However this is not an issue in Air RB as the game does most of the flying for you and you just tell the game the direction.
I don't think it's a problem with gaijin not implementing the plane properly, but that many planes that were good irl aren't good in WT due to the nature of air RB matches. The 740km/h top speed is indeed excellent performance and you have that in war thunder, it's just with small map 25minute 16v16 low altitude furball fests, these fast bois, p-47 included are just extremely off meta

Ah yes the "why wouldn't you just buy the Wyvern instead?" premium Surprised people don't know this thing is a brick. Like you can test fly it, do a few turns, and it becomes pretty obvious how mid it would be in an aggressive fight. Incidentally they need to add the ability to test fly unlocked tech tree planes. I think it's important for new players to get a feel for planes of other nations they haven't unlocked yet so they know what they are fighting.

Actually Defyn, I mostly watch for your humor and then for the gameplay. Though I have to admit that I have learned a few things, even though I've been playing since 2012 or so.
This is my most used plane in the game, i grinded 80% of the british tree with it and let me tell you, boom and zoom is the tactic for this plane but do not underestimate its high speed manoeuvrability because at 700kph and above it can and most likely will win any engagement it is put in

Ki-96 and Ki-108 are just terrible in my opinion (Ki-102 is saved by its BR, I like the 57mm more than the 37mm, and more people are willing to turnfight with it because it looks heavy and they aren't aware of Japans main stengths yet.) Very disappointed in my purchase with the ki96 lol. Maybe I'm doing something wrong but the 3.7 Jap interceptors just seem crap, as opposed to an XP-50 or a Whirlwind. I really struggle with the Ho-5's, even compared to a whirlwind's 4 Mk I's with 60 rounds each, and going against XP-50's with B7A2's on your team leaves very little opportunity for the Ki's (Maybe B7A2's have gone away now?) Sorry for the rant lol, especially on a 2 month comment but just wanted to talk about Jap interceptors... You have any tips lol?

RBs 360 awarness is a big downside for Boom and Zoomers,on air Simulator mode the M.B 5 is a gem with good climb rate,amazing speed and very good canopy visbility.

I only just understood that you don't really like the P51-D20 when I thought you did, and sometimes it can be confusing for a new player like me to organize their thoughts about which planes to grind/pick up. Since I really trust your judgement, as everyone here I'm sure, it would be really beneficial to the community to have a clear indication on which direction to take in this game! Also, it would be a sick series imho.
But to be serious, just watch for what ppl are flying. You don't see bad planes any often. So, most of the planes you encounter in battles are good ones, at least more or less. Mostly, there three occasions for planes you meet: 1) a good plane, 2) a hype train, 3) a premium without alternative. So, therefpre, you go to battle, you watch what ppl are playing in, you choose your destiny to grind.

I like the mb.5 to an extent that 25 sec turn time is a major turnoff but I’ve found that going to about 5200m and staying at that alt and just boom and zooming is better then let’s saying coasting at 3500
Have you ever used the rudder in planes like that mb5 or p51 and such? Is it advisable? Does it help or hinder with nose auth? Edit: I mean the rudder keys, Q AND E by default I think. I know it can really fast track a stall but was unsure if it's actually useful and interested in your thoughts

In spring after i flew Sea FuryFB11 and Tempest MkV i "played" with the Idea to buy this Thing, i ask People about this Plane in Forum and they told me its ok for its BR but iam really lucky that i didnt buy the MB5, i buyed instead the Prem Griffon Spit MkXIVc , it cost more GE (4200) has weaker armament but it is much more fun to fly.
I definitely do that if I lose sight of my target and pass them by. Bad habit I guess, but if I can't see them I sometimes misjudge their position by sound or sense and then reverse my turn in front of them, feelsbadman.
At first, I watched your videos just to see my favorite planes in action, then it was to learn how to fight and what my enemies are capable of. Now I do it for the commentary and how you keep things entertaining while teaching us. One of the few youtubers that i watch the videos of when they come out. I don't know if you've still been considering it or not but if you really do plan on "packing up" the channel, try doing some different content instead. I can understand the frustration with having a channel that has been struggling to grow and honestly doing strictly war thunder will limit your growth simply because it's still niche in the grand scheme of youtube, it's just one game after all and that's the hard truth. And very few youtubers make it big by sticking to only one game. I just hope no matter what you make content you're passionate about in the end though

I remember doing pretty well in this thing back when matches lasted an hour, definitely abused its speed to the fullest lol but I kinda liked the challenge.
It overheats like crazy but it's a total monster at boom & zoom, overall it's a meh plane but in the right hands and with a lot of luck you'll get good games
Just gonna say you gotta figure out a way to do a series where you fly different big BR brackets on different servers, after watching these vids and even knowing they're edited to make good content, EU just seems so much more competent in every aspect than NA. If you came here and flew on our servers it'd be like taking candy from paralyzed babies. You wouldn't be able to make the content you do because you'd never get a single good dogfight in a week!
