Really hope they don't remove the TVs mechanics, just because of some streamers and the early dull.. One of the unique things they have, otherwise they'll only have aesthetics to shine and combat that other hundred other games have
Agreed, the mechanic is SO creative and well thought it, it’s honestly a breathe of fresh air and part of why I like the game! I think the majority of people like the tv system for real.
nah.. its Hoyo game they will do whatever they want, unlike Kuro who smaller dev team who was forced to change whole narrative of a game. They can reduce amount of TVs in future story maybe and thats it.
Too many people jump on bandwagons. The TV's were always fine, never had an issue with them. Didn't even bother me in the beginning. I think people let content creators influence their opinion on things too much. The story is great, it's very slice of life, and the characterizations are fun with the dialogue being pretty funny at times. Nothing feels too serious. The only issue I have with the game is the gacha stuff really. The resource/material bloat, the walling off progression via time and stamina... and the DPS check styled bosses in later Shiyu levels and stuff.
Problem is, they're fine for YOU but majority doesn't share your opinion. When you look at the bigger picture and not few individual comments from the minority that do find them alright, TVs as a whole is a major pain in the ass for the majority and Hoyo have acknowledged that and that's why in the recent interview they said they're working on a different system that will replace the TVs as they are and turn them into something else. From a business standpoint this makes a complete sense because you obviously don't want majority of your playerbase quitting because they can't stand the TVs. Also, Content creators didn't influence the majority. The TVs were already heavily criticized and disliked back in the beta days where the community's size was but a tiny fraction of what it is today. They have made a lot of adjustments to make them more tolerable like implementing a speed up button and cutting the amount of them by nearly half of what they intentionally wanted to(the game literally meant to have even more TVs than it has today which is simply insane to me) but at their core the TVs are just not a good feature and it's being replaced.
Yo your take on the story of belobog… THANK YOU omg so little people literally talk about that and they just push the tv mode addressing why its bad, ngl, if there was a skip in Penacony everytime i heard of the Charmony Bird from Sunday and Robin, you already know. Dont get me started on Sparkle’s involvement in the story in the end… that shit actually just pissed me off
some of that repetetive stuff like the charmony bird was really testing my adhd LOL.. but overall, my point is that the hsr story is very good content/plot wise, and I think zzz will do the same!
Good video! I was never interested in Genshin Impact. I tried HSR about a year ago for a while, but I wasn’t too into the combat, surprisingly deep as it was, and I couldn’t get into the story at all. Recently I’d been looking for a mobile game I could play during my downtime at work that was more mechanically demanding as far as controls go, than most of the other gacha games I’d found that were mostly auto-battlers that only required modest button inputs that didn’t seem to have too big of an effect whether you hit them or not. I discovered ZZZ a few days ago, and man, it quickly sold me. I love the combat, I love pretty much all the character designs (Corin actually might be my least favorite even though I still like her and her weapon is dope), and dude… I’m loving this story. It actually gripped me pretty early, especially through the presentation, like the comic book cutscenes as you mentioned. I like how even though it’s still technically sci-fi and futuristic, it’s more grounded than HSR and with the familiar town and shops and city setting, it’s more immediately relatable and understandable, and that provides a basis for your subconscious logic to fall back on when they get to the stuff that’s a litttle more out-there with the Hollows and Ether Corruption and all. And maybe it’s largely due to my love of board games and tabletop games, and the approximation of storytelling they can bring, but I’ve always loved the TV segments. It’s a super unique concept, and the closest thing I can think of off the top of my head is actually the maps from the Arkham Horror LCG. I think it’s a great representation of the idea of monitoring your crew as they navigate the Hollows, and as you said, the complexity and puzzle-solving they bring escalates as the game progresses further and further. I guess if I had to name complaints, I’ve really got just two. I wish the game was just a *little* more generous with the rewards, especially the items needed for the most important character pulls. And the second is that the battery is WAY too restrictive and recharges way too slowly. When I want to farm for resources at the HIA, I wish the game would let me just farm. But at the same time, I suppose I’ve got other ways of making progress than just going back to the HIA, so I can’t really complain about that too much. But yeah, sorry for the essay I guess, but I’ve quickly fallen in love with this game and just can’t wait to see it continue to grow and improve. This is such a great foundation they’ve already set up, and I’m really excited to see them add more to it.
thanks for watching the video! as i said in the video, I'm super excited for the story to start picking up content wise, combined with this amazing storytelling, which is ultimately like the biggest thing that I think will bring this game a lot of success.
Regarding the story. I think Belobog was kinda mid, especially compared to the chapter 3 when we meet the maids, I finished that today and enjoyed it a lot. Something that I never hear anyone be critical of is how we gatekeept from progressing the story before reaching a certain level. I think that sucks a lot and really pulls me out of experience in the story. Imagine if in the middle of anime you were forced to watch a 5 episodes of beach arc before you can see them return to the main plotline
I haven't seen chapter 3 yet, but overall I liked Belobog, especially during the cutscenes/comic book parts of the story, and even the TVs I enjoyed. As far as the level requirement goes, I don't mind this either. It gives you a chance to play the other aspects of the game, levels your characters, do other gamemodes like Hollow Zero or Shiyu Defense, etc. I appreciate it because it keeps you leveling up and not falling behind in the game, and if nothing else, these level requirements are not very hard to reach in a short amount of time.
@@YoMarlino I see your point. I just personally like to binge watch/play things and I had to wait a day or so to get enough stamina to continue the story :D
I’m one of the ones that just blows through the story not paying attention at all. I definitely used the hell out that skip button at the start, but at some point I actually started reading the comics because of the art style, and man I now regret using the skip button so much
Getting through combat with button mashing is possible but your damage will be low and your fights will take very long to finish resulting in a lower rank score. To get S rank in shiyu 9 and then in critical, you need to use the combat mechanics to do enough damage within the time frame to get S rank. And, unless you manupulate with m1 anton, you cant do that with button mashing
I hope that they don't get rid of the tv but just seperate the two more distinctively like hacking/exploring missions. But all these people trying to slander and doom post because they can't content farm the game i hope they all leave cause the game has absolute soul and personality. It has it's niche and it certainly isn't gonna die. It'll draw in more and more. As for difficulty if you know about defense and weekly fights yeah you already know cause good lord. Also that's such a stupid point cause genuinely what game isn't easy at the beginning? Like come on acting like star rail, genshin, hell even wuwa aren't farming mobs like eating candy for a majority of stuff like cut it out.
People want this game to fail because they don't want to play it. It is that simple. We have Genshin, WuWa, Star Rail and a bunch of interesting upcoming gachas that look better than ZZZ, so leaving it now sounds easy. Almost like a "relief", because you would either have less daily grind or you would be open to try another gachas. That said, I think this is a good gacha. I don't think it will fail. I don't think it will age badly. The only problem I have with it, at least right now, is that I don't like any of the current playable characters other than Billy and Lycaon. The vast majority of negative reviews were from people who didn't even had gear on their characters, so for now I'm not listening to anyone. I'm going to take it slow. I'm far from finishing the story, and I started playing WuWa the same day I started ZZZ, and I'm taking my time to enjoy both without rushing anything. I'll give it another month, and if it gets boring I'll just leave it. I'm not willing to give HoYoverse another chance after Genshin.
@@YoMarlinoConsidering how well liked Lycaon is? Definitely not the right one, sorry. Obviously you're free to have a bad take, but at least understand when it's a you problem and not the character design 🤷
We could not have a more opposite opinion if we tried lol. I think HSR's story has gotten progressively worse, with Belobog sadly being peak. I started out liking the tv sets, and came to hate them the more they popped up. The comic book panels feel cheap, and disengage me from the story at times. Pretty much everything you said, i feel the opposite. But that's ok, makes the world less gray. I do overall still enjoy ZZZ, and thought the story was good. If anything, it's mostly let down by Hoyo's lack of budget in the VA department... 🤷
its ok to have differing opinions, of course and I'm probably not able to change your mind LOL. only thing I can say is maybe try japanese va instead of english if you're not already doing so.
