Happy Mother's Day Summer thank you for working up the swatch I like the puff stitch best it will make a beautiful baby blanket. Have a wonderful day! 💗💐🤗
This video is super helpful, Summer. Thanks so much for taking the time to make all those various stitches in your swatch. Think I'll do a throw in the puff stitch for my Granddaughter!
I’m using that exact same yarn to make granny square blanket. I made a Ferris wheel GS with the variegated in the middle and the other colors for the square part and a border of the variegated. I really loved the way they are coming out. Thank you for the swatch examples - I love the idea of making a pillow with the puffs.
Also the (HDC,sl.st.) repeated as you said when you do the 2nd, or even rows you do the opposite where hdc goes on top of the sl.st. in the previous row, as well as sl.st. goes on top of the hdc, that pattern creats a very pretty stitch, you should definitely try it 😊😊😊❤❤❤
Thank you for showing us the different stitches in this type of yarn, I have some which I got in an afghan kit, love the pattern but I have a hard time with such big bulky yarn, I have arthritis in my hands and had surgery on both hands do it's harder for me to crochet with this type of yarn, wish I could but have a hard time. There are so many blankets I could make with this yarn, oh well. Again thank you for sharing your time with these stitches. Your awesome ❤️❤️❤️
Hi Summer, Thank you so much for sharing everything with us!!! I hope you have a wonderful summer and enjoy your time off with your kids 🥰 be Please take care and stay safe and healthy 💕💗💖🎶🦋
Thank you for doing that. I like the way that "swatch" turned out. A blanket actually done like that in a full blanket would look great. Saw that yarn the other day and it felt pretty soft. I saved the video as I might just do a blanket worked up like that.
I just bought some of this yarn along with the regular forever fleece. I like the puff one the most, it looks super cute. The “thermal” one looks nice too and so does the cross-stitch but the puff is my favorite one. Thanks for sharing this! I’m looking forward to making some blankets with this yarn. Much love 💗
Thanks for sharing. The swatches are lovely, I just have a really hard time working with that yarn. As much as I want to for stuffies and such. I keep saying I should try again. I think it's a sensory thing. Have a good day. Stay safe, stay healthy.
Love this type of quick informative videos. I used a wheat shaff stitch blanket but wanted to try a ore closed stitch too. The puff and the "thermal" I will have to try thanks!
Thanks for the video. I really enjoy watching your video’s. Those are bobble stitches and they look great with that yarn. I have heard The single double and single called the crumpled griddle stitch and pebble stitch. I think it goes by many names. 😊
I used Glenda's (Creative Grandma) Winter In The Woods blanket pattern and it turned out lovely in Bernat Forever Fleece Finer. I just made a small modification to make my grooves diagonal instead lined up and down. Lovely pattern and yarn!! Thanks for experimenting!! 💖💖🧶🧶
Hi! Thank you for this video, I’ve watched it multiple times as reference because I love this yarn. I’m finally wanting/ready to make something new to include the puff stitch and had a question, if you don’t mind me asking or answering. If making a blanket (baby or bigger) using this puff stitch/half double combo, what would the starting chain/multiples be for it? I’m not good at determining these, I’m a visual learner, I apologize. If you could help me out with this I’d truly and greatly appreciate it!!
First of all, thank you for sharing the stitches that work well with this incredibly soft yarn. Secondly, I have a question, when done with one skein doing the sc, dc then changing to your puff stitch on another skein right after the first skein of sc, dc work well for an afghan/sm lap blanket? Appreciate your time in answering my question.
Also called Seed Stitch. The stitch really is pretty, gives you the same texture on the front and back. Doris @ Rose Cottage Studio taught this stitch in the 2nd tutorial of her 5 stitch tutorials for wash/dishcloth series.
I prefer the popcorn stitch better than the puff stitch. I have a blanket I have been making since late 70's and I call it my talking afghan. As it has hearts made from popcorn stitch and it says "NOW I LAY ME DOWN TO SLEEP". With the hearts all the way around it. I just think the popcorn stitch goes faster.
Is your quoted Thermal Stitch, perhaps, the Pebble Stitch? I don't think I've ever slowed down to watch the video but I've seen it named and by the texture it seems very evident that very well could be the name....
If you want to turn your holey crochet into "HOLY CROCHET, BATGUUURL! This is warm and it's got coverage!", learn the "linked double crochet / ldc stitch".
I have heard that called the up down stitch, lol, but they also called [(Hdc,sl.st.,)*#], but it doesn't sound grammatically correct 🤔 but I hope someone could help me out with the name as well ❤😊
These are all really helpful tips, I love the hdc between the puffs. I'll keep it in mind next time I use the stitch. Thank you!
I have to remember that too.
Happy Mother's Day Summer thank you for working up the swatch I like the puff stitch best it will make a beautiful baby blanket. Have a wonderful day! 💗💐🤗
I like your puff stitch. Very nice. I usually have trouble with that stitch. Your stitches are pronounced and look super puffy. Thank you, Summer!
I was taught the DC DC repeat is seed stitch love it the colors are great thanks for sharing love you
Love the puff stitch…looks so pretty on a baby blanket!
Thanks Summer I really like how the puff stitch looks too!

Love that puff stitch. Happy Mother’s Day.
The puff stitch is probably one of my favorite stitches. I just love the look & texture it gives. Thanks for sharing the stitch ideas for this yarn ☺️
Thanks for sharing love the puff stitches ❤💕💖
I’ve always loved the puff stitch.
I love the thermal stitch; I love texture in my baby blankets.
Love. This. Yarn thank. You. For. Showing

Please take care and stay safe and healthy 💕💗💖🎶🦋
Thanks Summer !
Thanks for the tip and doing the swatch on it.
I’m using this yarn for amigurumi. The “fluff” helps fill in the holes so I don’t have to crochet as tightly. I use a 4.5mm hook.
Thank you for doing that. I like the way that "swatch" turned out. A blanket actually done like that in a full blanket would look great. Saw that yarn the other day and it felt pretty soft. I saved the video as I might just do a blanket worked up like that.
Thank you for doing these stitch test videos ! This is so helpful!

that's so beautiful this was SO helpful I'm excited to try it, thank you so much!!
Love this type of quick informative videos. I used a wheat shaff stitch blanket but wanted to try a ore closed stitch too. The puff and the "thermal" I will have to try thanks!
I think a seed stitch is dc alternating with sc. Could be also moss stitch or granite stitch.
Thank you Summer.
I love the picture that is with your profile. When it’s super small in the comment section, it looks like you are wearing a hot pink wig!
I like that you shared these stitches. The DC/SC I know it as lemon peel stitch.
Thanks for the video. I really enjoy watching your video’s. Those are bobble stitches and they look great with that yarn. I have heard The single double and single called the crumpled griddle stitch and pebble stitch. I think it goes by many names. 😊
Hi Summer, I agree with you. The puff stitches look great with that yarn!! Thanks for sharing!!
Thank you Summer🌸
I love the puff stitch fabulous 🧶🇨🇦
Thank you for the sample Summer, I love the feel of this yarn, but have yet to buy any. I call that "thermal" stitch the Suzette stitch
I’ve heard that one stitch called the Lemon Peel stitch also. Love the puff 😊
Like this and I have some fleece that isn't finer but these should work for me. Thanks
The single double combo is the Lemon Peel Stitch I think
Yep.. it makes great baby blankets.
Lemon peel stitch?
Yes I have heard that as well!
Happy Momma's Day Summer
I think it was Margaret from Sheepishly Sharing that said this stitch has several names! Looks good no matter what you call it!
Thanks
I think it is the lemon peel stitch

The stitch sc/dc I believe is the Lemon Peel stitch

I believe it’s called crumbled griddle stitch
That looks so nice! I couldn’t find it at my Michaels ☹️.
5am Monday motnig..
My fav is the Suzette Stitch…SCDC, REVERSE.. Similar to the “thermal stitch…
I’m thinking the the sc and dc was lemon peel stitch

Thanks Summer. Did the yarn split? Thanks
It does not split
I have not had that experience

does this yarn wash well and stays the same
If you want to turn your holey crochet into "HOLY CROCHET, BATGUUURL! This is warm and it's got coverage!", learn the "linked double crochet / ldc stitch".
Is it called the bean stitch
Lemon Peel Stitch..
It’s called the seed stitch
I have heard that called the up down stitch, lol, but they also called [(Hdc,sl.st.,)*#], but it doesn't sound grammatically correct 🤔 but I hope someone could help me out with the name as well ❤😊
It called griddle stitch
What can .be done with it except blanket for a Chili???
Scarf hat
It’s called griddle stitch (dc,sc, second row is sc, dc)
Lemon peel pattern
Thermal stitch I would call the waffle stitch
Crunch stitch I think
