That’s pretty impressive! I wonder why the rear lower control arms are so low, to me that seems like a major snag point and could’ve been designed for better clearance there... not that it seemed to hold it back any here but I know in deep snow it would.

Nice offroading! In all honesty, even if I had the money to buy this Defender I wouldn't purchase it. I would purchase a Suzuki Jimny with a simple manual transmission.Either way it has the abilities to off-road and that's awesome

In 2 years time they will have basically disintegrated or be totally broken down due to their horrific quality.

Crazy off road capacities
That was not hard off road route. This is the best footage of 2020 defender test , indeed, but i was little disappointed for all the downhill driving . Try the same route backwards !!! The end in the paddle was awesome . :)
Hardly what you'd describe as a challenging test. Looks like the Landover experience track
that dash board must be like a christmas tree by now :). There is no enginer/ technician on this planet that would be able to fix this thing now .

Credit to those tyres too they took a hell of a beating and to able to catch some grip in that water filled trench and pull that beast out.....
Traction control and suspension/differential play a big part too :)

If this thing proves durable and reliable ( allowing for early build gremlins) then this car has re-invented the Defender alright..and more. Like the original Land Rover, and then the Range Rover..they have moved the goalposts, carved a new segment, and other Marques will be worried. They will see only it`s iconic tail lights in their sales projections.
I've got a 2022 Defender 90 on coil springs with the steel wheels.
The vehicle is indeed awesome off road but it has two negative points.
The main one, is the size of it. The vehicle is so damned big, it struggles down narrow farm tracks, some single track roads, and green lanes, not to scratch the sides.
On some jobs l've had to leave the Defender at home and take my Jimny instead.
My previous vehicle, a 2005 Defender, didn't have this issue.
The second thing is, the front is too high, when cresting a steep hill you can't see anything except sky.
lf only the bonnet was 6" lower at the front. But it's likely been designed that way to give it a big "face" which is what buyers seem to want.
Apart from that, yes the vehicle is superb.
Mine has been fault free in 15,000 miles and the engine (3.0 250bhp diesel) is very strong, with 600Nm torque at under 1,500rpm it's fabulous at towing .
The real offroader, would love to have it if not for the price.

When I watch all this videos I think I going to get one for sure, but when I see the other about reliability issues I am afraid this happens to me for years I also had a several test drive and was excellent but I don’t know.
Just go for it. They are way more solid then the internet makes you believe. I love my RRS. Have had no issues really

Just for the record: in the first test where they did the hill climb, you simply can notice that land rover blocked the difs. It happened because he put it in auto mode. Without electronic helpers no way it will climb up.
with all the electronics, rookies will nail it too, besides what more can expect from All Terrain Tires...

Reliability of old cars.. my gearbox exploded and I had to walk 20 miles because cellphones hadn't been invented. Reliability of new cars.. the electric cup holder in the trunk didn't open the first time I pushed the button and I wasn't able to use it for 2 weeks while waiting for a replacement part.
My new Defender has spent more time at the dealer being fixed than I’ve driven it. Watch tfltruck review
