I have some preowned JL brown too that I love, but I agree with you! I recently got a Moterm veg tan and I was pleased with it. I do think that some kinds of planners, like travelers, get so much heavy use that it's smart to pick and choose what you spend a lot on. (But I still overspend on dashboards and then laminate everything thinking it will last forever :(. Guess I have to cut down on that next lol.)
Is there some animal crying in the back, or am I hearing things... I paused the video to see if there was a dog crying, because we have lots of neighbors who have dogs in our apartment building. But no, it seems to be coming from the video.
I live in an apartment too, so it’s possible! I don’t really hear it or remember that but it could have been faintly coming in from outside or another apartment. I do have a dog myself but he was likely sleeping during this video, and if he was whining it would be as loud/clear as my own voice since my apartment is very small lol
Have you tried the Veg Tan ones specifically? They are a lot thicker/higher quality! I know what you mean - the pebble leather and other cheap ones are sooo thin

I tore the inserts off from the milk tea cover and keep them all in the plastic cover to make it lay flat 😂

I don’t like moterms anymore. Their leather is too thin.
