My impression is your research is incomplete, you don't do studies in religious people, remind them of death and perhaps they don't hate but love, don't consume but love, etc....also it seems we have have to jump thru a lot of hoops, art, etc , to find meaning after we deny God. You don't stress the role of religion in meaning but perhaps this gives job security
