Adopting a switch and access point to your GCC Firewall Appliance

- In this video we setup our site wide WiFi settings and then we adopt a switch and access point. We discuss the plan going forward a couple of times as I think about it out loud. The switch we adopt is the GWN7813P and the access point is the GWN7661. Descriptions below! Although Grandstream provided these devices I'm not paid for these videos by them - I do however get to keep the hardware.

Have been using 2 GWN7661's for 10 months. No issues and no paper plates on the ceiling 😂. Mounted one behind a TV for clean install.
Good video W!
Good video. I’m liking the GCC from what I’ve seen so far. Thanks Willie
Good video sir !
Perfect Willie.. I'm from Brasil, the things here are a "little" more expensive, but I have clients running legacy SonicWalls 5th GEN, I'm very interested in maybe try this solution to do the sonicwall role and maybe the unifi role with switches and Wifi..
As we are seeing the solution is very stable!
Nice video!, have port forwarding? better to use tailscale and not open any ports?
oh by the way, your camera is looking really good now! Which one are you using? I like the depth of field!
@@chucksw1 Canon EOS RP with 50mm lens.
Where can I buy the units?
Hi WH! Does the throughput of the GCC decrease when you activate web filtering? It does drastically on the 7003. Like the Grandstream products.
All products from all manufacturers have a decrease with extra services turned on.
How much is the GCC Firewall Appliance gonna cost and the yearly license?
@@josemmm11 I picked up my GCC6010 for $199+tax+shipping. We will have to wait on the subscription cost for a bit.
@@WillieHowe wow i think it s good price. How do you compare against other Firewall like palo alto or fortinet ?
@@josemmm11 I think the smaller units are targeted at a different audience.
When will you be making more uisp videos
@@kevinbradt835 Once EdgeOS 3.0 is released.
Also can you make a video of how to setup a site to site ipsec vpn using ddns instead of ip addresses
What is happening with the isp videos
@@jordantekelenburg waiting for edgeos 3
To use wifi 6/7 don’t you have to change to WPA3
@@fovo2 I do believe you are correct
Greetings from Australia! 🦘 Our suppliers are apparently getting the GCC6010 in this week and I'm looking forward for getting one in for us to test, more so after watching your videos so far! We deal with a lot of smaller businesses and the 6010(W) looks ideal for those with 5-10 employees. Pity the W doesn't do POE, but at least Grandstream are polite enough to include power adapters in the box for most of their phones!
As far as speed tests go I just google speed test and use theirs that comes up, quick and easy to find.
